Development of Decision Support Model for Selecting a Maintenance Plan Using a Fuzzy Mcdm Approach: a Theoretical Framework
(Hindawi Ltd, 2018) Abdulgader, Fathia Sghayer; Eid, Rajeh; Rouyendegh (B Erdebilli), Babak Daneshvar
In complex decision making, using multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) methodologies is the most scientific way to ensure an informed and justified decision between several alternatives. MCDMs have been used in different ways and with several applications that proved their efficiency in achieving this goal. In this research, the advantages and disadvantages of the different MCDM methodologies are studied, along with the different techniques implemented to increase their accuracy and precision. The main aim of the study is to develop a hybrid MCDM process that combines the strengths of several MCDM methods and apply it to choose the best fit maintenance policy/strategy for industrial application. Moreover, fuzzy linguistic terms are utilized in all of the used MCDM techniques in order to eliminate the uncertainty and ambiguity of the results. Through an extensive literature review performed on studies that have used MCDM methods in a hybrid context and using fuzzy linguistic terms, a model is developed to use fuzzy DEMATEL-AHP-TOPSIS hybrid technique. The model with its application is the first of its kind, which combines the strengths of fuzzy DEMATEL in establishing interrelationships between several criteria, as well as performing a pairwise comparison between the criteria for prioritization using the fuzzy AHP method. Thereafter, the alternatives are compared using fuzzy TOPSIS method by establishing negative and positive solutions and calculating the relative closeness for each of the alternatives. Furthermore, six main criteria, twenty criteria, and five alternatives are selected from the literature for the model application.

Best Proximity Points for Generalized α-ψ-Proximal Contractive Type Mappings
(Hindawi Ltd, 2013) Jleli, Mohamed; Karapinar, Erdal; Samet, Bessem
We introduce a new class of non-self-contractive mappings. For such mappings, we study the existence and uniqueness of best proximity points. Several applications and interesting consequences of our obtained results are derived.

Positive Solutions for Multipoint Boundary Value Problems for Singular Fractional Differential Equations
(Hindawi Ltd, 2014) Jleli, Mohamed; Karapinar, Erdal; Samet, Bessem
A class of nonlinear multipoint boundary value problems for singular fractional differential equations is considered. By means of a coupled fixed point theorem on ordered sets, some results on the existence and uniqueness of positive solutions are obtained.

A Survey of Results on the Limit q-bernstein Operator
    (Hindawi Ltd, 2013) Ostrovska, Sofiya
The limit q-Bernstein operator B-q emerges naturally as a modification of the Szasz-Mirakyan operator related to the Euler distribution, which is used in the q-boson theory to describe the energy distribution in a q-analogue of the coherent state. At the same time, this operator bears a significant role in the approximation theory as an exemplary model for the study of the convergence of the q-operators. Over the past years, the limit q-Bernstein operator has been studied widely from different perspectives. It has been shown that. is a positive shape-preserving linear operator on C[0, 1] with parallel to B-q parallel to = 1. Its approximation properties, probabilistic interpretation, the behavior of iterates, and the impact on the smoothness of a function have already been examined. In this paper, we present a review of the results on the limit q-Bernstein operator related to the approximation theory. A complete bibliography is supplied.

Fixed Point Theorems for Various Classes of Cyclic Mappings
(Hindawi Ltd, 2012) Aydi, Hassen; Karapinar, Erdal; Samet, Bessem
We introduce new classes of cyclic mappings and we study the existence and uniqueness of fixed points for such mappings. The presented theorems generalize and improve several existing results in the literature.

Deadline-Aware Energy-Efficient Query Scheduling in Wireless Sensor Networks With Mobile Sink
    (Hindawi Ltd, 2013) Karakaya, Murat
Mobile sinks are proposed to save sensor energy spent for multihop communication in transferring data to a base station (sink) in Wireless Sensor Networks. Due to relative low speed of mobile sinks, these approaches are mostly suitable for delay-tolerant applications. In this paper, we study the design of a query scheduling algorithmfor query-based data gathering applications using mobile sinks. However, these kinds of applications are sensitive to delays due to specified query deadlines. Thus, the proposed scheduling algorithm aims to minimize the number of missed deadlines while keeping the level of energy consumption at the minimum.

Quadruple Fixed Point Theorems Under Nonlinear Contractive Conditions in Partially Ordered Metric Spaces
(Hindawi Ltd, 2012) Karapinar, Erdal; Shatanawi, Wasfi; Mustafa, Zead
We prove a number of quadruple fixed point theorems under phi-contractive conditions for a mapping F : X-4 -> X in ordered metric spaces. Also, we introduce an example to illustrate the effectiveness of our results.

Demiclosedness Principle for Total Asymptotically Nonexpansive Mappings in cat(0) Spaces
(Hindawi Ltd, 2014) Karapinar, Erdal; Salahifard, Hero; Vaezpour, S. Mansour
We prove the demiclosedness principle for a class of mappings which is a generalization of all the forms of nonexpansive, asymptotically nonexpansive, and nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mappings. Moreover, we establish the existence theorem and convergence theorems for modified Ishikawa iterative process in the framework of CAT(0) spaces. Our results generalize, extend, and unify the corresponding results on the topic in the literature.

Coupled Coincidence Points in Partially Ordered Cone Metric Spaces With a c-distance
(Hindawi Ltd, 2012) Shatanawi, Wasfi; Karapinar, Erdal; Aydi, Hassen
Cho et al. (2012) proved some coupled fixed point theorems in partially ordered cone metric spaces by using the concept of a c-distance in cone metric spaces. In this paper, we prove some coincidence point theorems in partially ordered cone metric spaces by using the notion of a c-distance. Our results generalize several well-known comparable results in the literature. Also, we introduce an example to support the usability of our results.
