Electron-Lattice Interaction Scattering Mobility in Tl2ingase4< Single Crystals
    (Iop Publishing Ltd, 2008) Qasrawi, A. F.; Gasanly, N. M.
In this work, the dark electrical resistivity, charge carrier density and Hall mobility of Tl(2)InGaSe(4) single crystal have been recorded and analyzed to investigate the dominant scattering mechanism in the crystal. The data analyses have shown that this crystal exhibits an extrinsic n-type conduction. The temperature-dependent dark electrical resistivity analysis reflected the existence of two energy levels as 0.396 and 0.512 eV, being dominant above and below 260 K, respectively. The temperature dependence of the carrier density was analyzed by using the single-donor-single-acceptor model. The latter analysis has shown that the above maintained 0.512 eV energy level is a donor impurity level. The compensation ratio for this crystal is determined as 0.96. The Hall mobility of Tl(2)InGaSe(4) is found to be limited by the scattering of electron-acoustic phonon interactions. The calculated theoretical acoustic phonon scattering mobility agrees with the experimental one under the condition that the acoustic deformation potential is 12.5 eV.

    Electrochemical Polymerization of Para-Substituted Haloanilines
(Taylor & Francis inc, 2006) Cihaner, A; Önal, AM
Polyhaloanilines: poly(4-fluoroaniline) (P4FAN), poly(4-chloroaniline) (P4CAN), and poly(4-bromoaniline) (P4BAN), are synthesized from para-substituted haloaniline monomers; 4-fluoroaniline (4FAN), 4-chloroaniline (4CAN), and 4-bromoaniline (4BAN), respectively, via constant potential electrolysis (CPE) in acetonitrile-water mixture (1:1 v/v) with NaClO4 as supporting electrolyte. Prior to CPE, electrochemical behavior of the monomers were investigated in organic medium utilizing cyclic voltammetry (CV). The course of CPE was monitored using in-situ UV-VIS spectroscopic technique. Characterization of polymer products have been carried out using FT-IR and NMR spectroscopic techniques and thermal behaviors were studied using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Polyhaloanilines synthesized by electrochemical oxidation were doped using iodine and the change in the paramagnetic behavior was monitored by ESR, UV-VIS, and FT-IR.

Career Abandonment Intentions among Software Workers
(Wiley, 2014) Colomo-Palacios, Ricardo; Casado-Lumbreras, Cristina; Misra, Sanjay; Soto-Acosta, Pedro
Within the software development industry, human resources have been recognized as one of the most decisive and scarce resources. Today, the retention of skilled IT (information technology) personnel is a major issue for employers and recruiters as well, since IT career abandonment is a common practice and means not only the loss of personnel, knowledge, and skills, but also the loss of business opportunities. This article seeks to discover the main motivations young practitioners abandon the software career. To achieve this objective, two studies were conducted. The first study was qualitative (performed through semistructured interviews) and intended to discover the main variables affecting software career abandonment. The second study was quantitative, consisting of a Web-based survey developed from the output of the first study and administered to a sample of 148 IT practitioners. Results show that work-related, psychological, and emotional variable are the most relevant group of variables explaining IT career abandonment. More specifically, the three most important variables that motivate employees to abandon the career are effort-reward imbalance, perceived workload, and emotional exhaustion. In contrast, variables such as politics and infighting, uncool work, and insufficient resources influence to a lesser extent the decision to leave the career. (c) 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Stenotic Double-Orifice Mitral Valve After Surgical Repaired Partial Atrioventricular Septal Defect
(Wiley, 2020) Duran Karaduman, Bilge; Torun, Ayse Nur; Ayhan, Huseyin; Keles, Telat; Bozkurt, Engin
Double-orifice mitral valve (DOMV) is an uncommon congenital anomaly account for 1% of congenital heart disease. However, accurate diagnosis and evaluation of valve stenosis or regurgitation and other concomitant congenital anomalies due to DOMV are required to obtain suitable treatment. Two- and three-dimensional echocardiography can contribute valuable functional and anatomic information that can support to reach this goal. Here, we present a case of complete bridge-type DOMV that causes mitral stenosis after surgical repair of the partial atrioventricular septal defect in childhood.

ISAR Imaging of Drone Swarms at 77 GHz
(Tubitak Scientific & Technological Research Council Turkey, 2025) Coruk, Remziye Busra; Kara, Ali; Aydin, Elif
The proliferation of easily available, internet-purchased drones, coupled with the emergence of coordinated drone swarms, poses a significant security threat for airspace. Detecting these swarms is crucial to prevent potential accidents, criminal misuse, and airspace disruptions. This paper proposes a novel inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging technique for high-resolution reconstruction of drone swarms at 77 GHz millimeter wave (mmWave) frequency, offering a valuable tool for military and defense antidrone systems. The key parameters affecting down-range and cross-range resolution (0.05 m), ultimately enabling the generation of detailed ISAR images are discussed. Here, we create diverse scenarios encompassing various swarm formations, sizes, and payload configurations by employing ANSYS simulations. To enhance image quality, different window functions are evaluated, and the Hamming window is selected due to its highest peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) (16.3645) and structural similarity (SSIM) (0.9067) values, ensuring superior noise reduction and structural preservation. The results demonstrate that the effectiveness of high-resolution ISAR imaging in accurately detecting and characterizing drone swarms pave the way for enhanced airspace security measures.

The Effect of Strain Rate on the Hydrogen Embrittlement Susceptibility of Aluminum 7075
(Asme, 2023) Baltacioglu, Mehmet Furkan; Cetin, Baris; Bal, Burak
The effects of changing the strain rate regime from quasi-static to medium on hydrogen susceptibility of aluminum (Al) 7075 were investigated using tensile tests. Strain rates were selected as 1 s(-1) and 10(-3) s(-1) and tensile tests were conducted on both hydrogen uncharged and hydrogen charged specimens at room temperature. Electrochemical hydrogen charging method was utilized and the diffusion length of hydrogen inside Al 7075 was modeled. Material characterizations were carried out by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and microstructural observations of hydrogen uncharged and hydrogen charged specimens were performed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). As opposed to earlier studies, hydrogen embrittlement (HE) was more pronounced at high strain rate cases. Moreover, hydrogen enhanced localized plasticity (HELP) was the more dominant hydrogen embrittlement mechanism at slower strain rate but coexistence of hydrogen enhanced localized plasticity and hydrogen enhanced decohesion was observed at a medium strain rate. Overall, the current findings shed light on the complicated hydrogen embrittlement behavior of Al 7075 and constitute an efficient guideline for the usage of Al 7075 that can be subject to different strain rate loadings in service.

Principal and Nonprincipal Solutions of Impulsive Dynamic Equations: Leighton and Wong Type Oscillation Theorems
(Springer, 2023) Zafer, A.; Akgol, S. Dogru; Doğru Akgöl, S.
Principal and nonprincipal solutions of differential equations play a critical role in studying the qualitative behavior of solutions in numerous related differential equations. The existence of such solutions and their applications are already documented in the literature for differential equations, difference equations, dynamic equations, and impulsive differential equations. In this paper, we make a contribution to this field by examining impulsive dynamic equations and proving the existence of such solutions for second-order impulsive dynamic equations. As an illustration, we prove the famous Leighton and Wong oscillation theorems for impulsive dynamic equations. Furthermore, we provide supporting examples to demonstrate the relevance and effectiveness of the results.
