The existence and uniqueness conditions for fixed points of such maps on complete metric spaces are investigated and related fixed point theorems are presented. The results are reconsidered in the context of partially ordered metric spaces and applied to boundary value problems for differential equations with periodic boundary conditions.Conference Object Citation - Scopus: 12Design and Implementation of a Mobile Webcast Application With Google Analytics and Cloud Messaging Functionality(Institute of Physics Publishing, 2019) Jonathan,O.; Misra,S.; Ibanga,E.; Maskeliunas,R.; Damasevicius,R.; Ahuja,R.Church cast is an application developed to bring the messages of ministries closer to their members by harnessing the Internet and mobile devices. Due to the very busy schedules of people and religious restrictions in some countries, people are not usually able to be physically present at their locations of worship to listen to or watch their ministers. Existing applications developed in the past like DOMI radio and Redemption TV Media were limited to only audio, poor and unintuitive user interfaces and not providing the administrator any interactions with the users of the application. In this work, we develop an Android-based application that makes it possible for users to watch live streams and on-demand videos from their ministries using their mobile devices. The application also incorporates sharing and analytics functionalities to enable users to share videos messages with loved ones and help the administrator monitor users' activities on the application respectively. The cloud messaging functionality enables the administrator to send messages such as announcements to user devices as push notifications. This would eventually increase user knowledge and interaction with the activities going on in their respective places of worship. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.Article Citation - WoS: 9Fixed Point Results for Almost Generalized Cyclic (ψ, Φ)-Weak Contractive Type Mappings With Applications(Hindawi Publishing Corporation, 2012) Jleli, Mohamed; Karapinar, Erdal; Samet, BessemWe define a class of almost generalized cyclic (psi,phi)-weak contractive mappings and discuss the existence and uniqueness of fixed points for such mappings. We present some examples to illustrate our results. Moreover, we state some applications of our main results in nonlinear integral equations.Article Citation - WoS: 1Citation - Scopus: 1Hole-Polar Phonon Interaction Scattering Mobility in Chain Structured Tlse0.75s0.25< Crystals(Wiley-blackwell, 2009) Qasrawi, A. F.; Gasanly, N. M.In this study, the electrical resistivity, charge carriers density and Hall mobility of chain structured TlSe0.75S0.25 crystal have been measured and analyzed to establish the dominant scattering mechanism in crystal. The data analyses have shown that this crystal exhibits an extrinsic p-type conduction. The temperature-dependent dark electrical resistivity analysis reflected the existence of three energy levels located at 280 meV, 68 meV and 48 meV. The temperature dependence of carrier density was analyzed by using the single donor-single acceptor model. The carrier concentration data were best reproduced assuming the existence of an acceptor impurity level being located at 68 meV consistent with that observed from resistivity measurement, The model allowed the determination of the hole effective mass and the acceptor-donor concentration difference as 0.44m(0) and 2.2 x 10(12) cm(-3), respectively. The Hall mobility of the TlSe0.75S0.25 crystal is found to be limited by the scattering of charged carriers over the (chain) boundaries and the scattering of hole-polar phonon interactions above and below 300 K, respectively. The value of the energy barrier height at the chain boundaries was found to be 261 meV. The polar phonon scattering mobility revealed the high-frequency and static dielectric constants of 13.6 and 15.0, respectively. (C) 2009 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, WeinheimConference Object Citation - Scopus: 3Conflict resolution via emerging technologies?(Institute of Physics Publishing, 2019) Yinka-Banjo,C.; Ugot,O.-A.; Misra,S.; Adewumi,A.; Damasevicius,R.; Maskeliunas,R.This paper presents a review of the current techniques and approaches adopted in conflict resolution in Multi-Agent Systems (MAS). The review highlights the strength and weaknesses, and thus, their success in fostering cooperation and collaboration in multi-agent systems. We survey alternative approaches to conflict resolution that rely on emerging technologies such as deep learning. From the survey, we discuss the benefits of using these emerging technologies in the conflict resolution process. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.Article Citation - WoS: 5Citation - Scopus: 5Dispersive Optical Constants of Tl2ingase4< Single Crystals(Iop Publishing Ltd, 2007) Qasrawi, A. F.; Gasanly, N. M.The structural and optical properties of Bridgman method grown Tl2InGaSe4 crystals have been investigated by means of room temperature x-ray diffraction, and transmittance and reflectance spectral analysis, respectively. The x-ray diffraction technique has shown that Tl2InGaSe4 is a single phase crystal of a monoclinic unit cell that exhibits the lattice parameters of a = 0.77244 nm, b = 0.64945 nm, c = 0.92205 nm and beta = 95.03 degrees . The optical data have revealed an indirect allowed transition band gap of 1.86 eV. The room temperature refractive index, which was calculated from the reflectance and transmittance data, allowed the identification of the dispersion and oscillator energies, static dielectric constant and static refractive index as 28.51 and 3.45 eV, 9.26 and 3.04, respectively.Article Citation - WoS: 16Citation - Scopus: 17A Generalized Meir-Keeler Contraction on Partial Metric Spaces(Hindawi Ltd, 2012) Aydi, Hassen; Karapinar, Erdal; Rezapour, ShahramWe introduce a generalization of the Meir-Keeler-type contractions, referred to as generalized Meir-Keeler-type contractions, over partial metric spaces. Moreover, we show that every orbitally continuous generalized Meir-Keeler-type contraction has a fixed point on a 0-complete partial metric space.Article Citation - WoS: 9Citation - Scopus: 10Chromium Based Metal-Organic Framework Mil-101 Decorated Palladium Nanoparticles for the Methanolysis of Ammonia-Borane(Royal Soc Chemistry, 2020) Caner, Nurdan; Yurderi, Mehmet; Bulut, Ahmet; Kanberoglu, Gulsah Saydan; Kaya, Murat; Zahmakiran, MehmetPalladium nanoparticles stabilized by an MIL-101 metal-organic framework (Pd@MIL-101) are synthesized by a novel synthesis approach. A Pd@MIL-101 catalyst facilitates H(2)generation from the methanolysis of ammonia-borane with record catalytic activity (TOF = 1080 min(-1)) at room temperature. Moreover, the exceptional stability of Pd@MIL-101 makes it a reusable heterogeneous catalyst in this catalytic transformation.Conference Object Citation - WoS: 6Jmathnorm: a Database Normalization Tool Using Mathematica(Springer-verlag Berlin, 2007) Yazici, Ali; Karakaya, ZiyaThis paper is about designing a complete interactive tool, named JMathNorm, for relational database (RDB) normalization using Mathematica. It is an extension of the prototype developed by the same authors [1] with the inclusion of Second Normal Form (2NF), and Boyce-Codd Normal Form (BCNF) in addition to the existing Third normal Form (3NF) module. The tool developed in this study is complete and can be used for real-time database design as well as an aid in teaching fundamental concepts of DB normalization to students with limited mathematical background. JMathNorm also supports interactive use of modules for experimenting the fundamental set operations such as closure, and full closure together with modules to obtain the minimal cover of the functional dependency set and testing an attribute for a candidate key. JMathNorm's GUI interface is written in Java and utilizes Mathematica's Mink facility to drive the Mathematica kernel.
