Article Citation - WoS: 15Fixed Point Results for Various Α-Admissible Contractive Mappings on Metric-Like Spaces(Hindawi Ltd, 2014) Al-Mezel, Saleh A.; Chen, Chi-Ming; Karapinar, Erdal; Rakocevic, VladimirWe establish some fixed point theorems for alpha-admissible mappings in the context of metric-like space via various auxiliary functions. In particular, we prove the existence of a fixed point of the generalized Meir-Keeler type alpha-phi-contractive self-mapping.. defined on a metric- like space X. The given results generalize, improve, and unify several fixed point theorems for the generalized cyclic contractive mappings that have appeared recently in the literature.Letter Theoretical Modelling of Magnetron Sputtering of Boron Nitride Coating(Springer Heidelberg, 2023) Rake, Nakka; Kaftanoglu, Bilgin; Hacaloglu, Tugce; Aydogan, AsudeThe fundamentals of the magnetron sputtering (MS) technique are simple. However, the complex interplay of various physical and chemical sub-processes lies in its simplicity. The direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method is used to model the MS of the Boron Nitride (BN) coating. The Lorentz force, which is created by an electric field, magnetic field and particle collision, is utilised to model the BN coating. Three distinct bias voltages are used to generate three different BN-coating models under the same conditions. The modelling of BN coatings reveals that the deposition rate decreases as the substrate voltage increases.Article Citation - WoS: 7Citation - Scopus: 7On the q-bernstein Polynomials of Unbounded Functions With q > 1(Hindawi Ltd, 2013) Ostrovska, Sofiya; Ozban, Ahmet YasarThe aim of this paper is to present new results related to the q-Bernstein polynomials B-n,B-q (f;x) of unbounded functions in the case q > 1 and to illustrate those results using numerical examples. As a model, the behavior of polynomials B-n,B-q (f;x) is examined both theoretically and numerically in detail for functions on [0, 1] satisfying f(x) similar to Kx(-alpha) as x -> 0(+), where alpha > 0 and K not equal 0 are real numbers.Article Citation - WoS: 6Citation - Scopus: 9Cyclic (φ)-Contractions in Uniform Spaces and Related Fixed Point Results(Hindawi Ltd, 2014) Hussain, N.; Karapinar, E.; Sedghi, S.; Shobkolaei, N.; Firouzian, S.First, we define cyclic (phi)-contractions of different types in a uniform space. Then, we apply these concepts of cyclic (phi)-contractions to establish certain fixed and common point theorems on a Hausdorff uniform space. Some more general results are obtained as corollaries. Moreover, some examples are provided to demonstrate the usability of the proved theorems.Conference Object Citation - WoS: 7Citation - Scopus: 8Formation Control of a Multi-Agent System Using Decentralized Nonlinear Servomechanism(Ieee, 2003) Gazi, VIn this article we consider the formation control problem of a system of M agents with general nonlinear dynamics. We show that the problem of the agents moving in a formation along constant or periodic trajectories can be formulated as a nonlinear output regulation (servomechanism) problem and solved using known techniques. Then, we consider the example of formation control of agents with point mass dynamics and apply the procedure. Few illustrative numerical simulation examples are also provided.Conference Object Citation - WoS: 13Citation - Scopus: 34Swarm Aggregations Using Artificial Potentials and Sliding Mode Control(Ieee, 2003) Gazi, VIn this article we build on our earlier results in [1, 2] on swarm stability. In [1, 2] we had considered aggregating swarm model in n-dimensional space based on artificial potential functions for inter-individual interactions and motion along the negative gradient of the combined potential. Here we consider a general model for vehicle dynamics of each agent (swarm member) and use sliding mode control theory to force their motion to obey the dynamics of the swarm considered in [1, 2]. In this context, the results in [1, 2] serve as a "proof of concept" for swarm aggregation, whereas the present results serve as possible implementation method for engineering swarms with given vehicle dynamics. Moreover, the presented control scheme is robust with respect to disturbances and system uncertainties.Article Citation - Scopus: 8Computation of a Tunable Slot-Loaded Equilateral Triangular Microstrip Antenna(2009) Aydın,E.In this paper, a simple closed form expression is developed to accurately estimate the lower and upper operating frequencies of a single feed slot loaded triangular patch (SLTP) with variations of the bent slot lengths. It is obtained by using cavity model analysis and useful to antenna engineers for accurately predicting both operating resonant frequencies of the SLTP. The theory is compared with the experimental results available in the literature, and excellent agreement is observed. The proposed computation is also extended to the analysis of tunability of the SLTP as a function of the air-gap height. © Journal of electromagnetic waves and applications. The existence and uniqueness conditions for fixed points of such maps on complete metric spaces are investigated and related fixed point theorems are presented. The results are reconsidered in the context of partially ordered metric spaces and applied to boundary value problems for differential equations with periodic boundary conditions.Conference Object Citation - Scopus: 12Design and Implementation of a Mobile Webcast Application With Google Analytics and Cloud Messaging Functionality(Institute of Physics Publishing, 2019) Jonathan,O.; Misra,S.; Ibanga,E.; Maskeliunas,R.; Damasevicius,R.; Ahuja,R.Church cast is an application developed to bring the messages of ministries closer to their members by harnessing the Internet and mobile devices. Due to the very busy schedules of people and religious restrictions in some countries, people are not usually able to be physically present at their locations of worship to listen to or watch their ministers. Existing applications developed in the past like DOMI radio and Redemption TV Media were limited to only audio, poor and unintuitive user interfaces and not providing the administrator any interactions with the users of the application. In this work, we develop an Android-based application that makes it possible for users to watch live streams and on-demand videos from their ministries using their mobile devices. The application also incorporates sharing and analytics functionalities to enable users to share videos messages with loved ones and help the administrator monitor users' activities on the application respectively. The cloud messaging functionality enables the administrator to send messages such as announcements to user devices as push notifications. This would eventually increase user knowledge and interaction with the activities going on in their respective places of worship. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
