It defines how new business models are developed to change organizations' existing business model targets for sustainable development. Despite SBMI's great potential to address industries' long-standing sustainability challenges, it is not fully adopted in practice. This study through a DEMATEL technique strives to outline the possible actions that need to be taken before implementing SBMI to enhance the success rate. The current study investigates the most significant and necessary actions through strategic, institutional, and operational segments. Results suggest that action programs at organizations' strategic- and institutional levels are more critical to have a successful SBMI implementation. Moreover, our results indicate that innovation or more clearly how innovation is practiced within an organization is key to fully unlocking the SBMI's potential. © 2023 IEEE.Conference Object A New E-Commerce Model Suggestion of Agricultural Products(Springer international Publishing Ag, 2024) Eryilmaz, Meltem; Briman, Mohammed Khalid Hilmi; Yakut, GokceThis study aims to create an e-commerce application that enables farmers to sell their products directly to their customers without resorting to intermediaries by a smart cargo box. H2 energy systems seem to be one of the most effective solutions for providing a better environment and sustainability. Green H2, produced by renewable energy-assisted electrolysis without greenhouse gas emissions, has been of great importance in recent years. In this study, a hybrid energy system including Photovoltaic (PV), Wind Turbine (WT), Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC), and electrolyzer is compared for grid-connected and off-grid operating conditions. In the grid-connected system, electricity generated from PV and WT is used directly to meet electricity demand, while excess electricity is used for green H2 production. In the off-grid connected system, electricity generated from PV and WT was used for H2 production. Produced H2 and O2 were used to generate electricity by PEMFC. While 20186 kWh energy & 3273 m3 H2 were generated in an on-grid connected system, 95145 kWh energy & 17942 m3 H2 and 83511 kWh energy & 14370 m3 H2 were generated in two different configurations in the off-grid connected system. The Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) for the on-grid connected system and the off-grid system for two different designs were determined as 0.307 $/kWh, 0.341 $/kWh and 0.349 $/kWh, respectively. The hybrid system design was simulated using MATLAB software and it was examined which hybrid energy system configuration would be the most economical to meet the load. © 2022 Proceedings of WHEC 2022 - 23rd World Hydrogen Energy Conference: Bridging Continents by H2. The collections in the libraries are deteriorated chemically, biologically and mechanically due to inappropriate indoor environment conditions such as temperature and relative humidity fluctuations and microbiological conditions. Apart from preserving vulnerable paper-based collections, accommodating of a considerable thermal comfort level for visitors is essential in historic libraries. The aim of this study is to analyse indoor environment of a historic library in terms of thermal comfort and preventive conservation of paper-based collections. Izmir National Library, built in 1933, is selected as a case study. Indoor air temperature, relative humidity and air velocity in the library were monitored with a one-year measurement campaign. Meanwhile, thermal comfort of the visitors was assessed with PMV/PPD indices and thermal sensation surveys. The results show that high chemical degradation risk is detected in the library while biological and mechanical degradations are in the low risk zone. On the other hand, 87% and 93% of the visitors feel thermally satisfied in heating and cooling seasons, respectively. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.Conference Object Citation - Scopus: 21Examining the Use of Non-Fungible Tokens (nfts) as a Trading Mechanism for the Metaverse(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2022) Yilmaz,M.; Hacaloğlu,T.; Clarke,P.The notion of a metaverse seems hard to define but encourages the impression that it can be considered as a new virtual metaphysical landscape that somehow goes beyond our geographical locations and understanding (i.e., independent of time and space). Based on virtual reality, augmented reality, and blockchain, it is envisioned as an independent but extended world that is planned to be a digital virtuality entrenched not only in our old habits such as gaming and entertainment but also in virtual asset trade. In particular, trading is a pillar of the virtual economy, and auction houses will be crucial for Metaverse trading. This exploratory study examines the possibility of using an auction environment to improve the trading capabilities in a virtual universe. We investigate the cases of creating a virtual auction house with the potential of social trading of virtual assets with crypto coins and bartering. To this end, we built a virtual auction house and tested it initially using a set of scenarios. Our preliminary findings suggest that creating a virtual trading environment would be beneficial as an environment for buying and selling virtual assets and exploring their consequences. © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.Conference Object Predictors of Exercise Capacity in Patients With Osas(European Respiratory Soc Journals Ltd, 2020) Erturk, Nurel; Calik-Kutukcu, Ebru; Arikan, Hulya; Savci, Sema; Inal-Ince, Deniz; Caliskan, Hakan; Ardic, Sadik[No Abstract Available]Conference Object Citation - Scopus: 1Numerical Modeling of Recycled Rubber Based Composites Reinforced With Glass Fibers at High Strain Rates(Springer, 2022) K-Cakir,G.; Aslan,O.; Bayraktar,E.Due to its high impact energy absorption properties, devulcanized recycled rubber based composites can be considered as a low cost candidate material for military applications which require lightweight protection against shock waves. This work aims at modeling of low cost devulcanized recycled rubber based composite behavior at high strain rates. In that framework, we established a continuum-based material model in order to capture the macroscopic behavior of the recycled rubber based composite material and numerically reproduce the results from the basic characterization tests. The model is implemented for Finite Element Analysis Software ABAQUS/Standard as a user subroutine UMAT for implicit nonlinear finite element calculations in order to simulate the behavior of several RVEs representing the microstructure of the composite and it is behavior at high strain rates. © 2022, The Society for Experimental Mechanics.Conference Object Citation - Scopus: 6Development of Ni-al/Nb2al Composites for Aircraft Engine Applications Produced by a Combined Method: Sintering + Forging(Springer, 2023) Kaftancıoglu,U.; Zambelis,G.; Gatamorta,F.; Miskioglu,I.; Bayraktar,E.In this study, the microstructural formation and static/dynamic compression behaviour of the recycled Ni-Al/Nb2Al/ZrO2 matrix-hybrid composites reinforced with Nb and ZrO2 will be studied.
