The positive effect of risk aversion on emerging market comovements is particularly strong for South Africa and Turkey and is consistent with contagion effects. However, its thermal stability, crucial for device efficiency and reliability, has been less explored, leaving a gap in understanding its high-temperature suitability. This study evaluates the thermal stability of Sb2Se3 using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermal analysis (DTA), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results show that Sb2Se3 remains stable up to 500 degrees C, with two significant weight loss stages: 1.75% between 500 and 610 degrees C, and 3.50% between 610 and 775 degrees C, indicating decomposition processes. Activation energies for the decomposition phases were determined as 121.8 and 57.2 kJ/mol using the Coats-Redfern method. Additionally, an endothermic phase transition was observed between 599 and 630.6 degrees C via DSC analysis. These findings demonstrate Sb2Se3's potential for high-temperature energy applications, providing essential insights for optimizing its use in solar cells, thermoelectric devices, and other technologies.Article Citation - WoS: 18Citation - Scopus: 18Growth, Electrical and Structural Characterization of Β-Gase Thin Films(Springer, 2003) Parlak, M; Qasrawi, AF; Erçelebi, ÇGaSe thin films were deposited onto the glass substrates kept at 200degrees and 300degreesC by the thermal evaporation of GaSe crystals under the pressure of 10(-5) Torr. X-ray analysis of the films revealed that films grown at 200. C are amorphous in nature while the films grown at 300degreesC are polycrystalline beta-GaSe. The temperature dependent electrical conductivity measurements in the region of 320-100 K for the films grown at 300degreesC showed that the transport mechanisms are the thermionic emission of charged carriers and the variable range hopping above and below 180 K, respectively. Space charge limited current (SCLC) studies have also been performed on these films through the current-voltage measurements at different temperatures and a dominant hole trap at 0.233 eV from the top of the valance band with a trap density of similar to1.6 x 10(11) cm(-3) is identified. However, caloric restriction has been shown to remodel the gut microbiota and slow tumor growth. Here, we investigated whether the gut microbiota mediates the preventive effects of long-term chronic or intermittent caloric restriction on breast cancer predisposition. Methods: 10-week-old transgenic breast cancer-prone mice were randomly assigned to dietary groups (ad libitum, chronic caloric restriction, and intermittent caloric restriction groups) and fed up to week 81. Stool samples were collected at weeks 10 (baseline), 17 (young), 49 (adult), and 81 (old). 16S rRNA gene sequencing was performed to identify the gut microbiota profile of the different groups. In order to investigate the breast cancer gut microbiota profile within genetically predisposed individuals regardless of diet, mammary tumor-bearing mice and mammary tumor-free but genetically prone mice were selected from the ad libitum group (n = 6). Results: Intermittent caloric restriction increased the microbial diversity of adult mice and modified age- related compositional changes. A total of 13 genera were differentially abundant over time. Pathogenic Mycoplasma was enriched in the re-feeding period of the old intermittent caloric restriction group compared with baseline. Furthermore, mammary tumor-free mice showed shared gut microbiota characteristics with mammary tumor-bearing mice, suggesting an early link between genetic predisposition, gut microbiota, and breast cancer development. Conclusions: Our study revealed the role of gut microbes in the preventive effects of caloric restriction against breast cancer development, implying the significance of diet and microbiome interplay. E.; Parlak, M.; Bayraklı Sürücü, Ö.In this study, temperature-dependent current-voltage (I-V), frequency-dependent capacitance-voltage (C-V) and conductance-voltage (G/omega-V) measurements are carried out for the electrical characterization of a zinc oxide (ZnO) thin film-based diode. The sandwich structure in the form of Ag/ZnO/Si/Al is investigated at temperatures between 220 and 360 K and in the frequency region of 1 kHz-1 MHz. ZnO thin film layer is deposited on a p-Si wafer substrate as a transparent conductive oxide layer by taking into consideration possible electronic applications with intrinsic attractive material properties. At each temperature step, the I-V curves showed about two orders of magnitude rectifying behavior and, according to the Schottky diode relation, the saturation current, zero-bias barrier height and ideality factor were extracted as a function of the temperature. In the case of non-ideal diode characteristics due to the inhomogeneties in the diode as observed from the characteristics of the calculated parameters, effective barrier height values are evaluated. However, LPWANs are vulnerable to cyber attacks that can disrupt the normal operation of the network or compromise sensitive information. Therefore, analyzing cybersecurity risks before deploying an LPWAN is essential, as it helps identify potential vulnerabilities and threats as well as allowing for proactive measures to be taken to secure the network and protect against potential attacks. In this paper, a security risk analysis of IQRF technology is conducted utilizing the failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) method. The results of this study indicate that the highest risk corresponds to four failure modes, namely compromised end nodes, a compromised coordinator, a compromised gateway and a compromised communication between nodes. The specimens tested represent support details that have also been widely used in prestressed concrete highway bridges in Minnesota and in other states. Two specimens, one representing the free-end detail and one representing the restrained-end detail were subjected to a combination of vertical and lateral loads. The applied loading was intended to simulate the loading conditions to which the girder ends would be subjected in the event of an over-height vehicle collision with the bridge. The tests revealed two types of lateral load resisting mechanisms depending on the type of support detail. The specimen with the free-end detail resisted the lateral loading through sliding friction between the components of the support assembly. Deformation of this specimen was a combination of shear deformation of the bearing pad and sliding of various support components. The restrained-end detail exhibited larger lateral load capacity than the free-end detail due to the resistance provided by the anchor rods that were intended to prevent the lateral movement of the girder ends.
