Article Citation - WoS: 44Citation - Scopus: 70Selection of Academic Staff Using the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (fahp): a Pilot Study(Univ Osijek, Tech Fac, 2012) Rouyendegh, Babak Daneshvar; Erkan, Turan Erman; Industrial Engineering; Computer EngineeringEvaluating candidates' suitability for a selection of academic staff is an important tool for Human Resources Management (HRM) to select the most suitable candidates for required posts. There are various methods regarding the selection of staff in the field. As there are increasing improvements in the field of education, universities around the world demand high quality and professional academic staffs. The present paper examines a fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) for selecting the most suitable academic staff, where five candidates under ten different sub-criteria are evaluated and prioritised. The FAHP method adopted here uses Triangular Fuzzy Numbers (TFN). The inability of AHP to deal with the impression and subjectiveness in the pair-wise comparison process has been improved in the FAHP. Instead of a crisp value, the FAHP generates a range of values to incorporate the decision-makers uncertainty. Also, a real case study is presented.Article Citation - WoS: 67Citation - Scopus: 91An Application of the Fuzzy Electre Method for Academic Staff Selection(Wiley, 2013) Rouyendegh, Babak Daneshvar; Erkan, Turan ErmanThere are various methods regarding staff selection in different fields. Thanks to the increasing improvements in the field of education, universities around the world tend to demand high -quality and professional academic staff. Staff selection is a multi-criteria decision-making processes, and of strategic importance for most universities. This study deals with actual application of academic of staff selection using the opinion of experts to be applied into a model of group decision - making called the Fuzzy ELECTRE (Elimination Et Choix Traduisant la REaite) method. There are ten qualitative criteria for selecting the best candidate amongst five prospective applications. This study deals with an evaluation methodology based on the AHP-IFT where the uncertainties are handled with linguistic values. First, the supplier selection problem is formulated using AHP and, then, it is used to determine the weights of the criteria. Later, IFT is used to obtain full-ranking among alternatives based on opinion of the Decision Makers (DMs). The present model provides an accurate and easy classification in supplier attributes by those that have been prioritized in the hybrid model. A numerical example is given to clarify the main developed result in this paper.Article Citation - WoS: 13Citation - Scopus: 16Sector Selection for Erp Implementation To Achieve Most Impact on Supply Chain Performance by Using Ahp-Topsis Hybrid Method(Univ Osijek, Tech Fac, 2014) Rouyendegh, Babak Daneshvar; Bac, Ugur; Erkan, Turan Erman; Industrial Engineering; Computer EngineeringRecently, studies about the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) have been increased and this research area has attracted more attention. Especially, in the global competition environment, enterprises have to focus on their Information Systems ( IS) performance to have a competitive advantage; implementing an ERP system and improving the effectiveness of the system is the only way. However every sector reacts to ERP implementation differently. Purpose of this study is to rank the sectors according to their performance increments after successful ERP implementations by using AHP-TOPSIS hybrid method. As a result, general structure of Turkish companies will be pictured and the sectors which have the most chance to improve their performance by utilizing an ERP system will be defined. These findings will help the companies to plan the implementation process more precisely and help the managers of these companies to define their expectations more clearly. A numerical example is given to clarify the main developed result in this paper.Article Solving a Mixed Purchasing Process Problem in Retail Market: a Pilot Study in Turkey(Univ Osijek, Tech Fac, 2014) Erkan, Turan Erman; Rouyendegh, Babak Daneshvar; Salar, Menekse; Industrial Engineering; Computer EngineeringThe details of mixed purchasing processes which consist of some of sales and marketing processes in a retail market are discussed in this pilot study. The purpose of this pilot study is to analyse purchasing AS-IS processes, to make benchmarking to the competitors for doing comparison, to determine criteria for alternative purchasing AS-IS processes, to develop TO-BE processes, to select the best suitable alternative by the help of BPR (Business Process Reengineering) Methodology, Decision Tree Analysis and Weighted Objective Method and finally, TO-BE processes of the Retail Market are mapped.
