Article Citation - WoS: 2Citation - Scopus: 2The Impact of the Limit q-durrmeyer Operator on Continuous Functions(Springer Heidelberg, 2024) Yilmaz, Ovgu Gurel; Ostrovska, Sofiya; Turan, MehmetThe limit q-Durrmeyer operator, D-infinity,D-q, was introduced and its approximation properties were investigated by Gupta (Appl. Math. Comput. 197(1):172-178, 2008) during a study of q-analogues for the Bernstein-Durrmeyer operator. In the present work, this operator is investigated from a different perspective. More precisely, the growth estimates are derived for the entire functions comprising the range of D-infinity,D-q. The interrelation between the analytic properties of a function f and the rate of growth for D(infinity,q)f are established, and the sharpness of the obtained results are demonstrated.Article Citation - WoS: 19Citation - Scopus: 19A Study on the Dark and Illuminated Operation of Al/Si3< Schottky Photodiodes: Optoelectronic Insights(Springer Heidelberg, 2024) Surucu, Ozge; Yildiz, Dilber Esra; Yildirim, MuratThis work extensively investigates the operation of an Al/ Si3N4/p-Si Schottky-type photodiode under dark and varying illumination intensities. The photodiode is fabricated by employing the metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) method. A thorough electrical characterization is performed at room temperature, encompassing measurements of current-voltage (I-V), current-time (I-t), capacitance-time (C-t), and conductance time (G-t). The photodiode's rectification factor and reverse bias area increased under illumination. The relationship between light power density, barrier height, and diode ideality factor is found. The study also found a strong correlation between light intensity and applied voltage on series resistance (R-s) and shunt resistance (R-sh). R-s values are calculated using Cheung's functions, revealing the diode's resistance behavior. The study also examines the photodiode's photoconductivity and photoconductance, finding a non-linear relationship between photocurrent and illumination intensity, suggesting bimolecular recombination. Calculated photosensitivity (K), responsivity (R), and detectivity (D*) values show the device's light response effectiveness, but efficiency decreases at higher illumination intensities. Transient experiments indicate stable and reproducible photocurrent characteristics, revealing photogenerated charge temporal evolution. This study provides a complete understanding of the Al/Si3N4/p-Si Schottky photodiode's behavior under different illumination intensities. The findings advance optoelectronic device knowledge and enable their use in advanced technologies.Article Citation - WoS: 3Citation - Scopus: 4Organic Waste as a Soundproofing Material: an Experimental Study(Springer Heidelberg, 2024) Buluklu, Hatice Mehtap; Kocyigit, Filiz Bal; Kose, ErcanUsing sound insulation materials that do not impair indoor air quality and do not emit carbon.Increasing the sound insulation capacity with combinations of different natural materials. To enable to increase the intensity of use thanks to its economical production. Objective The aim of the study is to develop new acoustic materials and panels that high sound transmission loss (STL), low carbon emissions, high sensitivity to human health, and also do not harm the indoor air quality. These materials are currently grown in Turkey and can be easily adopted in the industry. It has been comparatively analyzed that the developed materials can be alternatives to the synthetic materials on the market. Methods In the experiment box similar to Alpha Cabin, which was designed and developed before, the STL values were obtained by conducting experiments in the frequency range 500-8000 Hz. with many natural and synthetic materials. In the study, low carbon emission natural materials with a STL of more than 30 dB were selected.Simulation The experimentally measured samples were simulated in the acoustic module of the ANSYS program and compared with the results. Conclusion The main purpose of choosing cones and walnut shells grown in our country is to contribute to the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere and green areas by increasing the cultivation of pine and walnut trees. In the tests of the samples, it was determined that the highest STL was 63.27 dB in the concave and egg-shaped sample, and 62.41 dB in the concave walnut shell and egg form. It is envisaged that the materials we obtained can be used in the sound insulation of machines and devices that produce 85 dB and above sound harmful to human health according to ILO and WHO standards.Article Citation - WoS: 4Citation - Scopus: 5A Long-Run Convergence Analysis of Aerosol Precursors, Reactive Gases, and Aerosols in the Brics and Indonesia: Is a Global Emissions Abatement Agenda Supported?(Springer Heidelberg, 2023) Romero-Avila, Diego; Omay, TolgaThis article examines the hypothesis of deterministic emissions convergence for a panel of the BRICS and Indonesia to advanced countries' emissions levels as well as to Sweden (which is a country that has clearly gone through decoupling) using a novel dataset with ten series of annual estimates of anthropogenic emissions comprising aerosols, aerosol precursor and reactive compounds, and carbon dioxide from 1820 to 2018. For that purpose, we employ four novel panel unit root tests allowing for several forms of time-dependent and state-dependent nonlinearity. The evidence supports deterministic convergence following a linear process for carbon dioxide, whereas the adjustment is asymmetric and nonlinear for carbon monoxide. Methane and nitrogen oxides exhibit logistic smooth transition converging dynamics. In contrast, black carbon, ammonia, nitrous oxide, non-methane volatile organic compounds, organic carbon, and sulfur dioxide emissions diverge. These results have implications for the abatement of greenhouse gases emissions at the global level, given the high share of emissions of the BRICS.Article Citation - WoS: 26Citation - Scopus: 26Coupled Coincidence Points for Mixed Monotone Operators in Partially Ordered Metric Spaces(Springer Heidelberg, 2012) Karapinar, Erdal; Karapınar, Erdal; Van Luong, Nguyen; Thuan, Nguyen Xuan; Karapınar, Erdal; Mathematics; MathematicsIn this paper, we give and prove some coupled coincidence point theorems for mappings F : X x X -> X and g : X -> X in partially ordered metric space X, where F has the mixed g-monotone property. Our results improve and generalize the results of Bhaskar and Lakshmikantham (Nonlinear Anal TMA 65: 1379-1393, 2006), Luong and Thuan (Bull Math Anal Appl 2(4): 16-24, 2010), Harjani et al. (Nonlinear Anal 74: 1749-1760, 2011) and Choudhury et al. (Ann Univ Ferrara 57: 1-16, 2011). We also give some examples to illustrate our results.Editorial Citation - WoS: 1The Day the Earth Shook(Springer Heidelberg, 2023) Sezer, Siren; Tuglular, Serhan; Yildiz, Alaattin[No Abstract Available]
