    The Rise of Artificial Intelligence in Vascular Surgery: a Bibliometric Analysis (2020-2024)

    Aim: This study aims to perform a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of academic publications on AI applications in vascular surgery, identifying key authors, influential journals, prevalent research themes, and international collaborations, focusing on infrastructure, conceptual structure, and social networks within the field.Material and Methods: The analysis covers 815 documents published from 2020 to 2024, retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database. Metrics analyzed include publication growth, citation rates, key contributors, leading journals, prevalent themes, and international collaborations.Results: The research output showed a 15% annual growth rate, peaking in 2023. Despite increasing publications, the average citation rate per article declined. The study identified 5039 contributors with significant international co-authorship. Leading authors included Lareyre F and Raffort J, and the \"Journal of Vascular Surgery\" was the most influential journal. The USA and China led in contributions, reflecting robust research infrastructure. Key themes include risk assessment, diagnostic methods, and patient management, highlighting AI's role in enhancing diagnostic accuracy, treatment planning, and patient outcomes in vascular surgery.Conclusion: The analysis highlights the rapid growth and collaborative nature of AI research in vascular surgery. Key contributors, influential journals, and emerging themes were identified, emphasizing AI's role in improving diagnostics and patient outcomes. Limitations include the focus on one database and a five-year period, suggesting future research should include more databases and a longer timeframe. Exploring high-impact studies and practical applications will further advance the field.

    Mapping the Literature on Thermal Tourism: A Bibliometric and Content Analysis

    This study explores and maps the existing literature on thermal tourism to provide comprehensive insights and inform future research directions. The research design is based on a bibliometric analysis of 48 documents published between 2013 and 2023 and indexed in the Web of Science database. Data were processed and visualized using Microsoft Excel and Bibliometrix, followed by a content analysis of 42 English-language articles to capture thematic developments in the field. The findings indicate that, despite a temporary decline during the COVID-19 pandemic, publications on thermal tourism have shown strong growth and recovery, with an annual growth rate of 46.65%. The most significant contributions originated from Portugal, China, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, and Japan, with research disseminated across 37 journals. Four central themes were identified: (1) tourist behaviors and satisfaction, (2) demand and motivations, (3) quality and resource management, and (4) strategic and sustainable development. Among these, tourist behaviors and satisfaction emerged as the most prominent research area, representing 38.10% of the analyzed literature. This paper addresses a gap in the literature by mapping the knowledge landscape in the relatively underexplored field of thermal tourism, highlighting its growth potential and proposing a future research agenda. The practical implications suggest that recognizing these trends and themes can help policymakers, industry stakeholders, and academics develop strategies to enhance sustainable practices and expand opportunities in thermal tourism.

    Trends and Scientific Evolution in Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) Research: A Comprehensive Bibliometric Study Using Vosviewer

    Background: Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) has become a standard treatment for abdominal aortic aneurysms. However, the evolution of EVAR research and its global landscape remain underexplored. This bibliometric analysis aims to map publication trends, identify key contributors, and analyze thematic shifts in EVAR literature over the past three decades.Methods: Data were collected from the Web of Science Core Collection (SCIE) in May 2025. A total of 4264 original research articles on EVAR were analyzed using VOSviewer for co-authorship, co-citation, and keyword co-occurrence mapping. Citation trends, geographical distribution, and institutional contributions were also assessed.Results: Research on EVAR showed steady growth, with a peak of 295 publications in 2024. The United States contributed the largest share (33.02%) of publications. Prolific authors such as Schermerhorn and Verhagen, affiliated with leading institutions like Harvard University, played a pivotal role in advancing the field. Keyword analysis revealed a shift from technical terms (e.g., "stent graft") to clinical outcomes (e.g., "reintervention") over time. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in EVAR research is emerging as a key focus area.Conclusion: This study highlights the growth and evolving focus of EVAR research, with a notable shift toward patient-centered outcomes. Despite strong contributions from high-income countries, there is a significant gap in research from low-resource settings. Future directions should include addressing gaps in radiation safety, emergency EVAR applications, and exploring AI-driven clinical decision-making for personalized treatments. Complex EVAR research continues expanding, reflecting guideline evolution and advancing practice in anatomically challenging cases.Clinical Impact This bibliometric analysis demonstrates how EVAR has progressed from an emerging minimally invasive technique to a guideline driven standard of care, with a growing emphasis on complex fenestrated and branched procedures. For clinicians, the findings clarify where the evidence base is well established, particularly for standard infrarenal EVAR, and where further caution and innovation are required, including complex anatomies, long term durability, and reintervention risk. By synthesizing influential studies, key guideline milestones, and evolving research themes, this study supports evidence based clinical decision making, improves patient counseling, and reinforces the importance of lifelong surveillance. Its innovation lies in translating three decades of global research into clinically actionable insight.

    Bibliometric Analysis of Authors Contributing to the Development of Health Management and Studies Published in WOS in the Field of Health Management

    In this study, scientific publications on the management of health institutions and health services, which are becoming increasingly important both in the country and in the world agenda, have been analysed, and it is aimed to make a comprehensive determination by analysing the annual publication amounts, most cited works, most relevant and influential source analysis, source co-citation network analysis, most relevant and influential author analysis, cooperation between authors analysis, author co-citation network analysis, and country's scientific production map and cooperation analysis. The result of the analysis showed that 3,940 article-type documents were published from 1,466 different sources between 1977 and 2021. The country that published the highest number of articles in the field of study was the USA, with 3,405 articles. In the analysis of the most relevant and influential sources, the most relevant source was found as 'Health Policy', which has published 80 articles since its first publication in 1986. The most relevant author in the study field was Yasumura who published 63 articles in total and was found to be one of the most influential authors in the study field. This study is evaluated to provide a macroscopic perspective for all stakeholders interested in the subject and those involved in the health system by providing a holistic perspective.
