Article Citation - WoS: 1Citation - Scopus: 1On Some Permutation Trinomials in Characteristic Three(Hacettepe Univ, Fac Sci, 2025) Temür, Burcu Gülmez; Özkaya, Buket; Gülmez Temür, BurcuIn this paper, we determine the permutation properties of the polynomial x3 +xq+2 −x4q−1 over the finite field Fq2 in characteristic three. Moreover, we consider the trinomials of the form x4q−1 + x2q+1 ± x3. In particular, we first show that x3 + xq+2 − x4q−1 permutes Fq2 with q = 3m if and only if m is odd. This enables us to show that the sufficient condition in [34, Theorem 4] is also necessary. Next, we prove that x4q−1 + x2q+1 − x3 permutes Fq2 with q = 3m if and only if m ̸≡ 0 (mod 4). Consequently, we prove that the sufficient condition in [20, Theorem 3.2] is also necessary. Finally, we investigate the trinomial x4q−1 + x2q+1 + x3 and show that it is never a permutation polynomial of Fq2 in any characteristic. All the polynomials considered in this work are not quasi-multiplicative equivalent to any known class of permutation trinomials.Conference Object Citation - Scopus: 2A Tool To Enhance Cooperation and Knowledge Transfer Among Software Developers(2009) Aydin,S.; Mishra,D.Software developers have been successfully tailoring software development methods according to the project situation and more so in small scale software development organizations. There is a need to share this knowledge with other developers who may be facing the same project situation so that they can benefit from other people experiences. In this paper, an approach to enhance cooperation among software developers, in terms of sharing the knowledge that was used successfully in past projects, is proposed. A web-based tool is developed that can assist in creation, storage and extraction of methods related with requirement elicitation phase. These methods are categorized according to certain criteria which helps in searching a method that will be most appropriate in a given project situation. This approach and tool can also be used for other software development activities. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.Article Citation - WoS: 2Citation - Scopus: 3A Short Note on Permutation Trinomials of Prescribed Type(Taylor & Francis inc, 2020) Akbal, Yildirim; Temur, Burcu Gulmez; Ongan, PinarWe show that there are no permutation trinomials of the form hox 1/4 x5 ox5oq1 xq1 1 over Fq2 where q is not a power of 2. Together with a result of Zha, Z., Hu, L., Fan, S., hox permutes Fq2 if q 1/4 2k where k 2 omod 4, this gives a complete classification of those q's such that hox permutes F-q(2).Article Citation - WoS: 1Citation - Scopus: 1Spline Based Sparseness and Smoothness for Partially Nonlinear Model Via C-Fused Lasso(American Institute of Mathematical Sciences, 2025) Taylan, P.; Yerlikaya-¨Ozkurt, F.; Tez, M.; Yerlikaya-Ozkurt, FatmaOne of the most beneficial and widely used models for data analysis are partially nonlinear models (PNLRM), which consists of parametric and nonparametric components. Since the model includes the coefficients of both the parametric and nonparametric parts, the complexity of the model will be high and its interpretation will be very difficult. In this study, we propose a procedure that not only achieves sparseness, but also smoothness for PNLRM to obtain a simpler model that better explains the relationship between the response and covariates. Thus, the fused Lasso problem is taken into account where nonparametric components are expressed as a spline basis function, and then the Fused Lasso estimation problem is built and expressed in terms of conic quadratic programming. Applications are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed method by considering commonly utilized measures. Promising results are obtained, especially in the data with nonlinearly correlated variables. © (2025), (American Institute of Mathematical Sciences). No sign restriction is imposed on the forcing term and the nonlinearities satisfy 0 < alpha(l) < ... < alpha a(j) < 1 < alpha a(j+1) < ... < alpha(m) < 2. The obtained inequalities generalize and compliment the existing results in the literature.Article Citation - WoS: 3Citation - Scopus: 7Some Almost Generalized (ψ, Φ)-Contractions in g-metric Spaces(Hindawi Ltd, 2013) Aydi, Hassen; Amor, Sana Hadj; Karapinar, Erdal; Hadj Amor, SanaIn this paper, we introduce some almost generalized (psi, phi)-contractions in the setting of G-metric spaces. We prove some fixed points results for such contractions. The presented theorems improve and extend some known results in the literature. An example is also presented.Conference Object The Psychometric Properties of the Hogg Eco-Anxiety Scale in the Turkish Context(Hogrefe Ag-hogrefe Ag Suisse, 2023) Turkarslan, Kutlu Kagan; Kozak, Ekin Doga; Yildirim, Julide CerenArticle Citation - WoS: 5Citation - Scopus: 4A New Extended δ-shock Model With the Consideration of Shock Magnitude(Wiley, 2024) Lorvand, Hamed; Eryilmaz, SerkanIn this article, a new delta$$ \delta $$-shock model that takes into account the magnitude of shocks is introduced and studied from reliability perspective. According to the new model, the system breaks down if either a shock after non-critical shock occurs in a time length less than delta 1$$ {\delta}_1 $$ or a shock after a critical shock occurs in a time length less than delta 2,$$ {\delta}_2, $$ where delta 1Article Citation - Scopus: 5Real-World Data From Turkey: Is Sofosbuvir/Ledipasvir With or Without Ribavirin Treatment for Chronic Hepatitis C Really Effective?(AVES, 2021) Demirtürk,N.; Aygen,B.; Çelik,İ.; Mıstık,R.; Akhan,S.; Barut,Ş.; Doğan,N.; Karakeçili, Faruk; Asan, Ali; Özel, Selcan Arslan; Ersöz, Gülden; Yıldız, Orhan; Şimşek, Sümeyra; Tarakçı, HüseyinBackground: In this study, we aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of sofosbuvir-based therapies in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C in real-world clinical practice. Methods: Data from patients with chronic hepatitis C treated with SOF/LDV ± RBV or SOF/RBV in 31 centers across Turkey between April 1, 2017, and August 31, 2018, were recorded in a nationwide database among infectious disease specialists. Demographics, clinical, and virological outcomes were analyzed. Results: A total of 552 patients were included in the study. The mean age of the patients was 51.28 ± 14.2, and 293 (55.8%) were female. The majority had HCV genotype 1b infection (65%), 75.04% of the patients underwent treatment, and non-cirrhosis was present at baseline in 381 patients (72.6%). SOF/LDV ± RBV treatment was given to 477 patients and 48 patients received SOF/RBV according to HCV genotype. The total SVR12 rate was 99% in all patients. Five patients experienced disease relapse during the study and all of them were genotype 2. In patients infected with HCV GT2, SVR12 was 77.3%. SVR was 100% in all patients infected with other HCV genotypes. All treatments were well tolerated by patients without causing severe adverse events. Side effects and side effects-associated treatment discontinuation rates were 28.2% and 0.4%, respectively. Weakness (13.7%) was the common side effect. Conclusion: The present real-world data of 525 patients with HCV genotypes 1, 1a, 1b, 3, 4, and 5 who underwent SOF/LDV ± RBV treatment in Turkey demonstrated a high efficacy and safety profile. HCV GT2 patients should be treated with more efficacious treatment. © Copyright 2021 by The Turkish Society of Gastroenterology • Available online at turkjgastroenterol.org
