Article Citation - WoS: 3Citation - Scopus: 7Some Almost Generalized (ψ, Φ)-Contractions in g-metric Spaces(Hindawi Ltd, 2013) Aydi, Hassen; Amor, Sana Hadj; Karapinar, ErdalIn this paper, we introduce some almost generalized (psi, phi)-contractions in the setting of G-metric spaces. We prove some fixed points results for such contractions. The presented theorems improve and extend some known results in the literature. An example is also presented.Article Citation - WoS: 5Citation - Scopus: 5Concentration Dependent Different Action of Progesterone on the Order, Dynamics and Hydration States of the Head Group of Dipalmitoyl-Phosphatidylcholine Membrane(Hindawi Ltd, 2005) Korkmaz, F; Kirbiyik, H; Severcan, FInteractions of progesterone with zwitterionic dipalmitoyl phosphatidylcholine (DPPC) multilamellar liposomes (MLVs) were investigated as a function of progesterone concentration at selected temperatures monitoring both the gel and liquid crystalline phase, by using Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). It has been show that the effect of progesterone on membrane dynamics is dependent on progesterone concentration. At 1 mol%, which is close to physiological level, progesterone behaves differently. At this concentration the decrease in dynamics is more noticeable. Additionally a dramatic decrease in the strength of hydrogen bonding in the interfacial region of the bilayer is also observed. When concentration increases up to 12 mol% opposite behaviour is observed at all interactions. Above 12 mol%, progesterone-DPPC interactions shows almost linear plot.Article Citation - WoS: 11Citation - Scopus: 8Coupled Coincidence Point and Coupled Fixed Point Theorems via Generalized Meir-Keeler Type Contractions(Hindawi Ltd, 2012) Aydi, Hassen; Karapinar, Erdal; Erhan, Inci M.We prove coupled coincidence point and coupled fixed point results of F : X x X -> X and g : X -> X involving Meir-Keeler type contractions on the class of partially ordered metric spaces. Our results generalize some recent results in the literature. Also, we give some illustrative examples and application.Article Citation - WoS: 40Citation - Scopus: 52Discussion on Generalized-(αψ, Βφ)-Contractive Mappings Via Generalized Altering Distance Function and Related Fixed Point Theorems(Hindawi Ltd, 2014) Berzig, Maher; Karapinar, Erdal; Roldan-Lopez-de-Hierro, Antonio-FranciscoWe extend the notion of (alpha psi, beta phi)-contractive mapping, a very recent concept by Berzig and Karapinar. This allows us to consider contractive conditions that generalize a wide range of nonexpansive mappings in the setting of metric spaces provided with binary relations that are not necessarily neither partial orders nor preorders. Thus, using this kind of contractive mappings, we show some related fixed point theorems that improve some well known recent results and can be applied in a variety of contexts.Article Citation - WoS: 16Citation - Scopus: 16A Generalized Meir-Keeler Contraction on Partial Metric Spaces(Hindawi Ltd, 2012) Aydi, Hassen; Karapinar, Erdal; Rezapour, ShahramWe introduce a generalization of the Meir-Keeler-type contractions, referred to as generalized Meir-Keeler-type contractions, over partial metric spaces. Moreover, we show that every orbitally continuous generalized Meir-Keeler-type contraction has a fixed point on a 0-complete partial metric space.Article Citation - WoS: 7Citation - Scopus: 7On the q-bernstein Polynomials of Unbounded Functions With q > 1(Hindawi Ltd, 2013) Ostrovska, Sofiya; Ozban, Ahmet YasarThe aim of this paper is to present new results related to the q-Bernstein polynomials B-n,B-q (f;x) of unbounded functions in the case q > 1 and to illustrate those results using numerical examples. As a model, the behavior of polynomials B-n,B-q (f;x) is examined both theoretically and numerically in detail for functions on [0, 1] satisfying f(x) similar to Kx(-alpha) as x -> 0(+), where alpha > 0 and K not equal 0 are real numbers.Article Citation - WoS: 6Citation - Scopus: 9Cyclic (φ)-Contractions in Uniform Spaces and Related Fixed Point Results(Hindawi Ltd, 2014) Hussain, N.; Karapinar, E.; Sedghi, S.; Shobkolaei, N.; Firouzian, S.First, we define cyclic (phi)-contractions of different types in a uniform space. Then, we apply these concepts of cyclic (phi)-contractions to establish certain fixed and common point theorems on a Hausdorff uniform space. Some more general results are obtained as corollaries. Moreover, some examples are provided to demonstrate the usability of the proved theorems.Article Citation - WoS: 15Fixed Point Results for Various Α-Admissible Contractive Mappings on Metric-Like Spaces(Hindawi Ltd, 2014) Al-Mezel, Saleh A.; Chen, Chi-Ming; Karapinar, Erdal; Rakocevic, VladimirWe establish some fixed point theorems for alpha-admissible mappings in the context of metric-like space via various auxiliary functions. In particular, we prove the existence of a fixed point of the generalized Meir-Keeler type alpha-phi-contractive self-mapping.. defined on a metric- like space X. The given results generalize, improve, and unify several fixed point theorems for the generalized cyclic contractive mappings that have appeared recently in the literature.Article Citation - WoS: 74Citation - Scopus: 77Ulam-Hyers Stability Results for Fixed Point Problems Via Α-Ψ Mapping in (b)-metric Space(Hindawi Ltd, 2013) Bota, Monica-Felicia; Karapinar, Erdal; Mlesnite, OanaWe will investigate some existence, uniqueness, and Ulam-Hyers stability results for fixed point problems via alpha-psi-contractive mapping of type-(b) in the framework of b-metric spaces. The presented theorems extend, generalize, and unify several results in the literature, involving the results of Samet et al. (2012).Article Citation - WoS: 1Citation - Scopus: 1The Truncated q-bernstein Polynomials in the Case q > 1(Hindawi Ltd, 2014) Turan, MehmetThe truncated q-Bernstein polynomials B-n,B-m,B-q (f; x), n is an element of N, and m is an element of N-0 emerge naturally when the q-Bernstein polynomials of functions vanishing in some neighbourhood of 0 are considered. In this paper, the convergence of the truncated q-polynomials on [0, 1] is studied. To support the theoretical results, some numerical examples are provided.
