    On α-ψ< Contractive Mappings

    In this paper, we introduce the notion of alpha-psi-Meir-Keeler contractive mappings via a triangular alpha-admissible mapping. We discuss the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point of such a mapping in the setting of complete metric spaces. We state a number of examples to illustrate our results.     Relationships Between Tropical Eigenvectors and Tropical Fixed Points of the Group gl(2, R)

    The eigenvalues, eigenvectors and fixed points of matrices have many applications in various branches of science and many mathematical disciplines. In this paper first we introduce the concept of tropical fixed points, then we calculate the tropical eigenvalues and tropical eigenvectors of GL(2, R). Furthermore we give relationships between tropical eigenvectors and tropical fixed points of GL(2, R).

    On the Meir-Keeler Set Contractions
