Enhancement of Electrical Performance of Znse Thin Films Via Au Nanosandwiching
    (Sciendo, 2020) Qasrawi, A. F.; Taleb, Maram F.
In this work, we report the effect of sandwiching of Au nanosheets on the structural and electrical properties of ZnSe thin films. The ZnSe films which are grown by the thermal evaporation technique onto glass and yttrium thin film substrates exhibit lattice deformation accompanied with lattice constant extension, grain size reduction and increased defect density upon Au nanosandwiching. The temperature dependent direct current conductivity analysis has shown that the 70 nm thick Au layers successfully increased the electrical conductivity by three orders of magnitude without causing degeneracy. On the other hand, the alternating current conductivity studies in the frequency domain of 10 MHz to 1800 MHz have shown that the alternating current conduction in ZnSe is dominated by both of quantum mechanical tunneling and correlated barrier hopping of electrons over the energy barriers formed at the grain boundaries. The Au nanosheets are observed to increase the density of localized states near Fermi level and reduce the average hopping energy by similar to 5 times. The conductivity, capacitance, impedance and reflection coefficient spectral analyses have shown that the nanosandwiching of Au between two layers of ZnSe makes the zinc selenide more appropriate for electronic applications and for applications which need microwave cavities.

A New Class of Generalized Contraction Using p-functions in Ordered Metric Spaces
(Sciendo, 2015) Amor, Sana Hadj; Karapinar, Erdal; Kumam, Poom
In this paper, we introduced and studied a new class of mappings in ordered metric spaces that is inspired from the concept of a P-function introduced in Chaipunya et. al. [10]. With our new class, we furnish fixed point theorems for continuous, noncontinuous, monotonic, and nonmonotonic mappings in various kinds of the ordering structures.

New Organizations in Complex Networks: Survival and Success
    (Sciendo, 2022) Asbaş,C.; Senyuva,Z.; Tuzlukaya,S.
Purpose: The present study investigates the survival and success of new organizations in the light of complex network theory. Methodology: The empirical data was collected using the survey method from the technology park companies are analyzed with social network analysis. Two main methods were used in this study: descriptive statistics and social network analysis. Findings: The findings indicate that new nodes appearing because of splitting up of bigger nodes from present or other related networks have a higher degree of centrality. In practice, this means that companies founded by former members of large-scale companies from these networks are more successful due to the ease in providing the flow of resources and information through previous links. This suggests that the imprint effect can be observed in the appearance, lifecycle, and performance of new nodes in complex networks. Originality: The literature lacks studies on new organizations' lifecycle in complex networks despite the existence of studies about new organizations in organizational networks. This study examines the appearance, success, and survival of new organizations in networks by complex network approaches such as dynamism, dissipative structures, and uncertainties. © 2022 Caner Asbaş et al., published by Sciendo.

On the Metrizability of Suprametric Space
    (Sciendo, 2025) Karapınar, E.; Cvetković, M.
The question of metrizability of suprametric space is answered positively. The observed metric coincides with a suprametric in a way that convergence and continuity are preserved between suprametric space and associated metric space along with the propery of a Cauchy sequence. Consequently, a suprametric space is complete if and only if associated metric space is complete. Fixed point theorems in suprametric space are obtained as a corollary of well-known fixed point results. © 2025 Erdal Karaplnar et al.

Matkowski Theorems in the Context of Quasi-Metric Spaces and Consequences on g-metric Spaces
(Sciendo, 2016) Karapinar, Erdal; Roldan-Lopez-de-Hierro, Antonio-Francisco; Samet, Bessem
In this paper, we prove the characterization of a Matkowski's theorem in the setting of quasi-metric spaces. As a result, we observe that some recent fixed point results in the context of G-metric spaces are consequences of our main result.
