Master Thesis Ulakagent: Öğrenim Yönetim Sistemlerinde Kaynak Paylaşımı için Hareketli Araştırma Etmeni(2009) Tezcan, Nezaket; Serçe, Fatma CemileBilginin çokluğu ve çeşitliliği, daha az zaman ve çaba harcayarak; hem amaçlanan, hem de kişiye uygun olan -?öğrenme profiline göre?- sonuçlara ulaşmayı günümüz hedefleri arasına sokmaktadır. Uzaktan eğitimde kullanılan öğrenim yönetim sistemleri için bu tür bir işleve sahip olmak, sektörde bir adım önde olmalarını sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışma, çevrimiçi öğrenme sistemleri için UlakAgent isminde hareketli bir etmen önermektedir. UlakAgent etmeni, öğrenim yönetim sistemleri için geliştirilen uyarlanabilir çoklu etmen sistemi olan MODA'nın etmenlerinden biri olarak tasarlanmış ve geliştirilmiştir. Hem yerel, hem de evrensel veri havuzlarındaki kaynak içeriklerini aramak için görevlendirilmiştir. Etmen MODA ile bütünleştirilmiş diğer öğrenim yönetim sistemlerine taşınır; orada gerekli çalışmayı yaparak kaynak içeriklerini toplar; sonra da diğer uygun platformlara giderek orada da bu işlemleri sırasıyla gerçekleştirir. Sistemdeki tüm platformları dolaşan etmen, elde ettiği arama sonuçlarıyla birlikte ana sisteme geri döner. MODA'nın diğer etmenleriyle iletişime geçerek uyarlanmış içerik listesini kullanıcıya taşır. Bu çalışma ile, UlakAgent'ın mimarisi ile örnek kullanımı anlatılmaktadır. Bu örnek çalışmada üç tane öğrenim yönetim sistemi kullanılarak bir MODA birliği oluşturulmuş ve hareketli etmenin araştırma seyahatini bu birlik üzerinden yapması sağlanmıştır.Bu çalışmada MODA birliği için kullanılan teknolojiler ile MODA birliği ve UlakAgent hakkında bilgiler verilmektedir.Conference Object Citation - Scopus: 49Open Source Learning Management Systems in E-Learning and Moodle(2010) Aydin,C.C.; Tirkes,G.In the last decade, the effect of Internet usage in education has increased gradually and new technologies have improved student's learning. By using distance learning tools, the student education can be more flexible with respect to place and time constraints. So, students can access information in every time and everywhere either in libraries or during the lectures. As is widely known that, distance learning is costly, and cost-effectiveness becomes more important as the institutions become large-scale providers of distance education. Cost which is the most important disadvantages of distance learning according to traditional learning environments can be removed with the extensive features of the Open Source Software. Generalizing the usage of Open Source Software will provide development of learning tools and increases the educational quality. As far as the literature is reviewed, not much research has already been conducted about the comparisons of open source learning management systems in distance education. In this way, it also supports and develops existing traditional training programs. The increasing importance of knowledge, skills and learning in today's technological life cycle has led to an increase and diversification of research and applications in distance learning. Accordingly, distance learning literature has a rich content supported by a multidisciplinary background. From this point of view, it is crucial to perceive the research landscape reflecting the general themes and trends studied in the field of distance learning. This study aims at revealing the distance learning research themes and trends by analyzing the 27,735 articles of journal conducted in the last decade. The methodology of the study is based on semantic content analysis implemented by N-gram-based text categorization technique. As a result, 10 main themes are discovered, namely, "System establishment", "Media", "Assessment", "Method", "Content", "Education levels", "Learner", "Research methods", "Interaction-Communication", and "Resource-Material-Tool". In this context, the findings of the study are expected to provide significant insights to guide prospective research and practice in the field and to develop continuous improvements and standards for distance education communities.
