Although it has a high potential to influence organizational strategies for adoption into respective operations, it has not been widely explored yet. This study aims to assess the sectoral diversity in the timing of organizational adoption of blockchain through selected organizational factors. Design/methodology/approach A survey was conducted based on a sample of 208 IT professionals. The data was collected using an instrument containing 17 questions. The existence of sector diversity was statistically analyzed using the Least Square Regression method. Findings The results indicate that, except for management support and perceived ease of use, all the other factors in the analysis significantly influence sector diversity in terms of blockchain adoption timing. Originality/value Although blockchain has received attention from researchers, to the best of the authors' knowledge, there is no published work in the literature that explores the organizational factors influencing sectoral differences in the timing of blockchain technology adoption. Therefore, our work is unique in the related literature since we present analyses for the diversity between public and private sectors by modeling the factors affecting the intentions for the timing of blockchain adoption as part of the organizations' IT infrastructure.Article Citation - WoS: 22Citation - Scopus: 31Organizational Issues in Embracing Agile Methods: an Empirical Assessment(Springer india, 2021) Mishra, Alok; Abdalhamid, Samia; Mishra, Deepti; Ostrovska, SofiyaThis study provides empirical evidence to the body of knowledge in Agile methods adoption in small, medium and large organizations in international context. This research explores the factors involved in the adoption of Agile methods in software development organizations. A survey was conducted among Agile professionals to gather survey data from 52 software organizations in seven countries across the world. Statistical techniques are applied towards empirical assessment. Organizational culture, team structure and management support are found to be crucial success factors whereas lack of management support, a large organization size and traditional organizational culture are found to be detrimental for the adoption of Agile approach in an organization. The selection of an appropriate Agile method depends on the project size and, for each size, there are specific methods preferred by different enterprises. Providing better control over the work is viewed as the primary advantage of the Agile methods within large and small organizations, while for the medium-size organizations, the priority is switched to coping with changing user requirements. Majority of the respondents did not consider embracing agile methods as a reason for project failure which indicates that Agile methods are, indeed, beneficial.Article The Individual Readiness and Risk-Related Concerns of It Professionals for Blockchain Adoption(Elsevier, 2025) Turhan, Cigdem; Akman, IbrahimBlockchain has gained remarkable momentum since its introduction in 2008, drawing the attention of industries, individuals, and governments on a global scale. This technology has been studied in the literature, with a focus on technical aspects, application areas, and emerging research challenges. However, few studies address individuals' perceptions of and concerns with respect to blockchain adoption. This study aims to investigate the attributes affecting blockchain adoption intention. A sample of IT professionals was used for this purpose since they are expected to have earlier and greater awareness of new digital technologies. The perceptions of this group of users regarding attributes such as innovativeness, self-efficacy, social pressure, and awareness, as well as their perceptions of privacy, security, and complexity, were examined through a survey of 208 responses. The results indicate that among the individual attributes, personal innovativeness, awareness, and social pressure positively affect blockchain acceptance, whereas security and privacy concerns fuel the reluctance to adopt blockchain.
