Among our cornerstones are to graduate more students into administrative positions of our institutions, to help them realize their inner potential to be go-getters, to prepare them for the entrance exams for high-tier, well-respected public positions, and to help them participate graduate and doctorate degree programs at ease, nationally or internationally. In this regard, our course curriculum is constantly subject to updates. In addition, we do all in our power to graduate students that stand out, with double-major program opportunities. We make an effort to aid our students in kick-starting their professional life after completing a period of one semester at Private - Public institutions within the framework of our Cooperative Education Program.Department Department of Chemical EngineeringResearch subjects based on Chemical Engineering origin covers applied and computational studies or both. Research studies under this origin focus mainly on the areas; clean energy production, catalytic combustion artificial neural networks, computational chemistry, electrochemistry, fuel cells and renewable energy. Chemistry-based group works on the areas such as biotechnology nanotechnology fuel cells and solar energy, drug design and development, polymer chemistry, dye and stain chemistry. In addition, the studies conducted in the graduate program also focuses on engineering applications and calculations of these fields.Department Department of Tourism and Hotel ManagementThe objective of tourism master program is to give participants a professional competitive advantage by focusing on fundamental areas of tourism management including utilizing specific business tools and techniques for the hospitality industry and also development of the leadership skills essential to hospitality managers. The curriculum explores issues such as general tourism, legislation in tourism, research methodology, tourism economy, tourism marketing, sustainable tourism and in selected areas in tourism.Department Department of Computer Engineering(2002)Master program of Computer Engineering Department which was launched in February 2002 is one of the two oldest programs of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences. The program has thesis and non-thesis master options. With the advantage of having highly qualified faculty members, our master program not only gives fundamental high level courses but also attaches importance to the advances in information and communication technologies. Almost all of the courses were designed to meet expectations of the industry and focus on the latest technological developments. It is also continuously being updated considering the needs of the local industry in this respect. Additionally, our program gives high priority to increase the research potential of its students.Department Public Finance(2015)As an interdisciplinary area powered by economy, law and accounting, “The Department of Finance” aims to train experts in the field with unique courses such as “Public Finance”, “Turkish Tax System” and “Budgeting and Public Funding”. Atılım University opened the Department of Financing in the academic year of 2015-2016, becoming the first foundation university to open the department. With our competent staff, our Department grew and ranked the 6th in the list of department base points in its field. Thesis and non-thesis Finance - Tax Graduate Programs, started in 2019, constitute the first department under a such name with the aim to offer studies in the field of tax. We see Finance as a state tradition, and as a social science that shall always follow the changing era. As long as states take loans, and takes are collected, there will be a need for well-equipped experts of Finance.Department Department of Modern LanguagesIn DML, post prep students are offered higher level academic English to help further their education and non-prep students are given basic English courses depending on their needs. In the departments students are exposed to various teaching learning methods and techniques and offline and online facilities to help develop learning strategies, analysing, questioning, synthesising, internalising, applying and evaluating the skills and knowledge to utilize them throughout their lives.Department Mathematics(2000)The Atılım University Department of Mathematics was founded in 2000 and it offers education in English. The Department offers students the opportunity to obtain a certificate in Mathematical Finance or Cryptography, aside from their undergraduate diploma. Our students may obtain a diploma secondary to their diploma in Mathematics with the Double-Major Program; as well as a certificate in their minor alongside their diploma in Mathematics through the Minor Program. Our graduates may pursue a career in academics at universities, as well as be hired in sectors such as finance, education, banking, and informatics. Our Department has been accredited by the evaluation and accreditation organization FEDEK for a duration of 5 years (until September 30th, 2025), the maximum FEDEK accreditation period achievable. Our Department is globally and nationally among the leading Mathematics departments with a program that suits international standards and a qualified academic staff; even more so for the last five years with our rankings in the field rankings of URAP, THE, USNEWS and WEBOFMETRIC.Department Department of Modeling and Design of Engineering SystemsThis is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary program, uniquely designed to promote front edge technology at international level. The program is open to both Turkish and international students who are seeking for a well-established research environment with facilities on some specific areas towards advanced research studies. Intimate collaborations are established with research institutions and industry, and further innovative work is promoted. The program is developed as a research based interdisciplinary advanced study with interdisciplinary courses and an advanced research study leading to a Ph. D. thesis.
