Robust stability of 2-D digital filters employing saturation
(Ieee-inst Electrical Electronics Engineers inc, 2005) Singh, V
A computationally tractable, i.e., linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based criterion for the global asymptotic stability of uncertain two-dimensional digital filters described by the Fornasini-Marchesini second local state-space model with saturation overflow arithmetic is presented. The criterion is compared with an earlier LMI-based criterion.

Some Remarks on Global Asymptotic Stability of Neural Networks With Constant Time Delay
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2007) Singh, Vimal
An elegant proof of a previously reported criterion for the uniqueness and global asymptotic stability of the equilibrium point of a class of neural networks with constant time delay is presented. The present proof yields some interesting observations. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Modified Form of Liu-michel's Criterion for Global Asymptotic Stability of Fixed-Point State-Space Digital Filters Using Saturation Arithmetic
(Ieee-inst Electrical Electronics Engineers inc, 2006) Singh, Vimal
A criterion for the global asymptotic stability of fixed-point state-space digital filters using saturation arithmetic was previously given by Liu and Michel. A modified form of their criterion is presented.

Modified Criterion for Global Asymptotic Stability of Fixed-Point State-Space Digital Filters Using Two's Complement Arithmetic
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2010) Singh, Vimal
A criterion for the global asymptotic stability of fixed-point state-space digital filters using two's complement arithmetic is presented. The criterion is a modified form of a well-known criterion due to Mills, Mullis, and Roberts. The criterion is in the form of linear matrix inequality and, hence, computationally tractable. An example shows the effectiveness of the modified criterion. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

On Global Asymptotic Stability of 2-D Discrete Systems With State Saturation
(Elsevier Science Bv, 2008) Singh, Vimal
A criterion for the global asymptotic stability of 2-D discrete systems described by the Roesser model employing state saturation nonlinearities is presented. The criterion is a less restrictive version of an earlier criterion due to Liu and Michel. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Improved Criterion for Global Asymptotic Stability of 2-D Discrete Systems With State Saturation
(Ieee-inst Electrical Electronics Engineers inc, 2007) Singh, Vimal
A criterion for the global asymptotic stability of 2-D discrete systems described by the Roesser model employing state saturation arithmetic is presented. A comparison of the present criterion with the previous criteria and an illustrative example showing the effectiveness of the present criterion are given.

Global Robust Stability of Delayed Neural Networks: an Lmi Approach
(Ieee-inst Electrical Electronics Engineers inc, 2005) Singh, V
New criteria for the uniqueness and global robust stability of the equilibrium point of the interval Hopfield-type delayed neural networks are presented. The criteria possess the structure of linear matrix inequality and, hence, are computationally efficient.

Novel Lmi Condition for Global Robust Stability of Delayed Neural Networks
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2007) Singh, Vimal
A novel criterion for the uniqueness and global robust stability of the equilibrium point of Hopfield-type neural networks with delay is presented. The criterion takes the form of a linear matrix inequality and hence is computationally attractive. An example showing the effectiveness of the present approach is given. (C) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. Stability of Discrete-Time Systems Joined With a Saturation Operator on the State-Space: Generalized Form of Liu-michel's Criterion
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2011) Singh, Vimal
A novel criterion for the global asymptotic stability of discrete-time systems in a state-space realization using saturation arithmetic was previously given by Liu and Michel. In their approach, as in most (or probably all) existing approaches, the matrix P is assumed to be symmetric. In this communique, it is shown that their approach is such as to be extended to allow the use of an unsymmetric matrix P. Taking note of this, a more general form of their criterion is presented. A modified form of the criterion is also presented. Examples show the effectiveness of the generalized approach. To the best of author's knowledge, this communique is the first report of exploiting an unsymmetric P to obtain a stability condition with reduced conservatism. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd.
