In addition, this analysis provides alternative explanations of certain unexpected findings reported by Di Rienzo et al. (2014) pertaining to apnea and interval timing. The numismatic data derived from the Becin coin hoard, closing under sultan Ahmed (1603-1617) greatly challenges this view. Metal analysis has shown that only the overall weights of the coins were reduced; the fineness of silver remained unchanged at least until the 1610s.Review
