    As an interdisciplinary area powered by economy, law and accounting, “The Department of Finance” aims to train experts in the field with unique courses such as “Public Finance”, “Turkish Tax System” and “Budgeting and Public Funding”. Atılım University opened the Department of Financing in the academic year of 2015-2016, becoming the first foundation university to open the department. With our competent staff, our Department grew and ranked the 6th in the list of department base points in its field. Thesis and non-thesis Finance - Tax Graduate Programs, started in 2019, constitute the first department under a such name with the aim to offer studies in the field of tax. We see Finance as a state tradition, and as a social science that shall always follow the changing era. As long as states take loans, and takes are collected, there will be a need for well-equipped experts of Finance.

    Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation

    Atılım University Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation opened in 2017. Our Department is among the few to offer a 4-year education in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation 100% in English. Physiotherapy aims to develop, sustain and restore maximum range of movement and functional abilities of people. Physiotherapists aid people at any stage of life when their movement and functions are affected due to factors such as ageing, injuries, diseases, disorders or environmental factors. Leaning heavily on practice, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation education is offered by our faculty members as experts in their fields and in clinical case simulations. Our program involves summer applications and clinical practice to develop the clinical skills of our students as future physiotherapists.The required studies are currently underway to initiate Graduate Degree education in General Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at our University.

    Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance

    The Atılım University Department of Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance has been offering Civil Aviation education in English since 2012. In an effort to provide the best level of education, ATILIM UNIVERSITY demonstrated its merit as a role model in Civil Aviation Education last year by being granted a SHY 147 certificate with the status of “Approved Aircraft Maintenance Training Institution” by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. The SHY 147 is a certificate for Approved Aircraft Maintenance Training Institutions. It is granted to institutions where training programs have undergone inspection, and the quality of the education offered has been approved by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. With our Civil Aviation Training Center at Esenboğa Airport (our hangar), and the two Cessna-337 planes with double piston engines both of which are fully operational, as well our Beechcraft C90 Kingait plaine with double Turboprop engines, Atılım University is an institution to offer hands-on technical training in civil aviation, and one that strives to take the education it offers to the extremes in terms of technology. The Atılım university Graduate School Department of Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance is a fully-equipped civil aviation school to complement its theoretical education with hands-on training using planes of various kinds. Even before their graduation, most of our students are hired in Turkey’s most prestigious institutions in such a rapidly-developing sector.     Student admission to the Atılım University Department of Nutrition and Dietetics started in 2017. Our Department is the only academic institution to offer undergraduate-level education completely in English in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics in Ankara. The studies of our department may be classified into two main categories; education and research. The current education programs are offered taking into consideration the awareness of the responsibility in offering a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics; by competent instructors in the field, and with an inter-disciplinary approach. Our aim for the future alumni of our undergraduate program is to undertake their responsibilities in the light of their information with a professional insight, and the confidence to constantly update themselves at hospitals, polyclinics, public health centers, ministries, catering institutions, food companies, universities and such where they may be employed in positions such as health care professionals, academicians, researchers, directors or policy makers.

    Aerospace Engineering

    Turkey has made a significant progress in terms of aerospace and defense industries. The Atılım University Department of Aerospace Engineering opens to students in the Academic Year of 2020-2021, with the aim to train qualified engineers as required in the ever-developing aerospace industry. This department is a field of engineering that focuses on the R&D, design, manufacturing, testing and performance processes of aircraft such as planes, choppers, or rockets; as well as satellites, and other kinds of spacecraft. Located in Ankara where much of the work related to the aerospace studies takes place, our School is to offer common projects and long-term opportunities for internship studies with many companies in the industry. Our academic staff involves faculty members who are experienced in teaching aerospace engineering, as well as experts in the field after having worked in many projects in the defense industry, in addition to offering consulting. Backed with our state-of-the-art laboratories, our curriculum is to offer students a chance to acquire the skills and know-hows to advance Turkey in the sector. We aim to implement a hands-on approach in education by training our students with our aircraft in our hangar at Esenboğa Airport. We aim to provide them with a practical training, and a constant opportunity to touch, feel, and experience the aircraft, from the first year. Our focus is to have students experience the process of R&D, from the designing stage to prototype manufacturing. Our course content, devised to match the current needs of the sector, shall make it possible for our students to find employment in their fields of competence and interest.

    Architecture Integrated PhD Program, which was initiated in the year 2012 at the Graduate School of Natural & Applied Sciences, runs graduate education and research studies leading to PhD degree for the students bearing bachelor and master degrees. The offical educational language of the Program is Turkish. The Program is available for applications by graduates from different disciplines (architecture; urban design; city and regional planning; industrial design; interior design; landscape design) who wish to be researcher or academician in any of the areas of specialization in architecture specified by IMP. Architecture Master’s Programs (Thesis-Oriented & Project-Oriented) were started in the year 2018. The official educational languages of these Programs are Turkish and English. These programs are available for applications by canditates who have undergraduate degrees in architecture.

    Established in 2010, and aiming to train the students with the capacity to meet the demands of the 21st Century, the Chemical Engineering Department provides a sound chemistry background through intense coursework and laboratory practices, along with fundamental courses such as Physics and Mathematics within the freshman and sophomore years, following preparatory English courses.In the final two years of the program, engineering courses are offered with laboratory practice and state-of-the-art simulation programs, combining theory with practice.
