Department Department of Computer Engineering(2002)Master program of Computer Engineering Department which was launched in February 2002 is one of the two oldest programs of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences. The program has thesis and non-thesis master options. With the advantage of having highly qualified faculty members, our master program not only gives fundamental high level courses but also attaches importance to the advances in information and communication technologies. Almost all of the courses were designed to meet expectations of the industry and focus on the latest technological developments. It is also continuously being updated considering the needs of the local industry in this respect. Additionally, our program gives high priority to increase the research potential of its students.Department Public Finance(2015)As an interdisciplinary area powered by economy, law and accounting, “The Department of Finance” aims to train experts in the field with unique courses such as “Public Finance”, “Turkish Tax System” and “Budgeting and Public Funding”. Atılım University opened the Department of Financing in the academic year of 2015-2016, becoming the first foundation university to open the department. With our competent staff, our Department grew and ranked the 6th in the list of department base points in its field. Thesis and non-thesis Finance - Tax Graduate Programs, started in 2019, constitute the first department under a such name with the aim to offer studies in the field of tax. We see Finance as a state tradition, and as a social science that shall always follow the changing era. As long as states take loans, and takes are collected, there will be a need for well-equipped experts of Finance.Department Industrial Design(2009)World Design Organization, of which we are an institutional member, defines industrial design in a nutshell as “a trans-disciplinary profession that harnesses creativity to resolve problems and co-create solutions with the intent of making a product, system, service, experience or a business, better.” Industrial designers place people at the heart of the process. They perceive user needs in depth through empathy and apply a pragmatic, user-centered problem solving process to design products, systems, services and experiences. They are the strategic shareholders of the innovation process and are in a unique position to bridge the gap between various professional disciplines and commercial interests. They value the economic, social and environmental effects of their work, as well as its contributions in the creation of a better quality of life. Founded in 2009, our department offers mandatory professional courses, technical courses and professional elective courses to prepare our students to become well-equipped and competitive in their business life.Department Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation(2017)Atılım University Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation opened in 2017. Our Department is among the few to offer a 4-year education in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation 100% in English. Physiotherapy aims to develop, sustain and restore maximum range of movement and functional abilities of people. Physiotherapists aid people at any stage of life when their movement and functions are affected due to factors such as ageing, injuries, diseases, disorders or environmental factors. Leaning heavily on practice, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation education is offered by our faculty members as experts in their fields and in clinical case simulations. Our program involves summer applications and clinical practice to develop the clinical skills of our students as future physiotherapists.The required studies are currently underway to initiate Graduate Degree education in General Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at our University.Department Mathematics(2000)The Atılım University Department of Mathematics was founded in 2000 and it offers education in English. The Department offers students the opportunity to obtain a certificate in Mathematical Finance or Cryptography, aside from their undergraduate diploma. Our students may obtain a diploma secondary to their diploma in Mathematics with the Double-Major Program; as well as a certificate in their minor alongside their diploma in Mathematics through the Minor Program. Our graduates may pursue a career in academics at universities, as well as be hired in sectors such as finance, education, banking, and informatics. Our Department has been accredited by the evaluation and accreditation organization FEDEK for a duration of 5 years (until September 30th, 2025), the maximum FEDEK accreditation period achievable. Our Department is globally and nationally among the leading Mathematics departments with a program that suits international standards and a qualified academic staff; even more so for the last five years with our rankings in the field rankings of URAP, THE, USNEWS and WEBOFMETRIC.Department Business (English)(2002)We are a department that has been active for 22 years with the goal to determine the structural changes in economy and the problems of general business administration, to develop problem solving skills and to devise modelling techniques that fit our aims. Among our cornerstones are to graduate more students into administrative positions of our institutions, to help them realize their inner potential to be go-getters, to prepare them for the entrance exams for high-tier, well-respected public positions, and to help them participate graduate and doctorate degree programs at ease, nationally or internationally. In this regard, our course curriculum is constantly subject to updates. In addition, we do all in our power to graduate students that stand out, with double-major program opportunities. We make an effort to aid our students in kick-starting their professional life after completing a period of one semester at Private - Public institutions within the framework of our Cooperative Education Program.Department Department of International Relations(1997)Our Department has grown steadily since its establishment in the academic year of 1997 and 1998 both in terms of the numbers of graduate programs as well as the student intake. I am proud of saying that we now have three fully-fledged graduate studies offering programmes in English, Turkish or both. Currently, we have International Relations MA Programme in both Turkish and English and European Union MA Programme in Turkish.Department Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance(2012)The Atılım University Department of Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance has been offering Civil Aviation education in English since 2012. In an effort to provide the best level of education, ATILIM UNIVERSITY demonstrated its merit as a role model in Civil Aviation Education last year by being granted a SHY 147 certificate with the status of “Approved Aircraft Maintenance Training Institution” by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. The SHY 147 is a certificate for Approved Aircraft Maintenance Training Institutions. It is granted to institutions where training programs have undergone inspection, and the quality of the education offered has been approved by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation. With our Civil Aviation Training Center at Esenboğa Airport (our hangar), and the two Cessna-337 planes with double piston engines both of which are fully operational, as well our Beechcraft C90 Kingait plaine with double Turboprop engines, Atılım University is an institution to offer hands-on technical training in civil aviation, and one that strives to take the education it offers to the extremes in terms of technology. The Atılım university Graduate School Department of Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance is a fully-equipped civil aviation school to complement its theoretical education with hands-on training using planes of various kinds. Even before their graduation, most of our students are hired in Turkey’s most prestigious institutions in such a rapidly-developing sector. We are looking forward to welcoming you at this modern and contemporary institution for your education in civil aviation.Department Industrial Engineering(1998)Industrial Engineering is a field of engineering that develops and applies methods and techniques to design, implement, develop and improve systems comprising of humans, materials, machines, energy and funding. Our department was founded in 1998, and since then, has graduated hundreds of individuals who may compete nationally and internationally into professional life. Accredited by MÜDEK in 2014, our student-centered education continues. In addition to acquiring the knowledge necessary for every Industrial engineer, our students are able to gain professional experience in their desired fields of expertise with a wide array of elective courses, such as E-commerce and ERP, Reliability, Tabulation, or Industrial Engineering Applications in the Energy Sector. With dissertation projects fictionalized on solving real problems at real companies, our students gain experience in the sector, and a wide network of contacts. Our education is supported with ERASMUS programs. With the scientific studies of our competent academic staff published in internationally-renowned magazines, our department ranks with the bests among other universities. IESC, one of the most active student networks at our university, continues to organize extensive, and productive events every year.Department Civil Engineering(2000)The Atılım University Department of Civil Engineering was founded in 2000 as a pioneer for the Departments of Civil Engineering among the foundation schools of Ankara. It offers education in English. The Department of Civil Engineering has an academic staff qualified in all areas of the education offered. In addition to a high level of academic learning that benefits from learning opportunities through practice at its seven laboratories, the Department also offers a Cooperative Education program conducted in cooperation with renowned organizations in the construction sector. Accredited by MÜDEK (Association of Evaluation and Accreditation of Engineering Programs) (in 2018), our Department has been granted the longest period of accreditation to ever achieve through the association (six years). The accreditation is recognized by ENAEE (European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education), and other international accreditation boards.
