The objective of this paper is to discuss literature in terms of its interdisciplinary structure, psychology, in particular, considering man and existence, personality and individual differences which have always been studied by writers, philosophers, artists, psychologists and psychiatrists. Several complex notions, unfathomable personalities and ambiguous motives have been associated with characters in literary genres: For example the term Bovarism is explained by means of Flaubert's Madame Bovary. Similar examples in literary works could be multiplied. Man and existence have been fundamental themes in literature, which has existed even before psychology. Works of literature and art enable individuals to be aware of their personalities and individual differences and to question life and existence, the main data in the field of psychology as well. It is overtly seen that there is a very strong correlation between literature and psychology since both of them deal with human beings and their reactions, miseries, desires, and their individual and social concerns by means of different concepts, methods, and approaches. F.; Khanfar, Hazem K.In the current work, the structural and electrical properties of the In4Se3/Ga2S3 interfaces are investigated. The X-ray analysis which concern the structural evolutions that is associated with the substrate type has shown that the hexagonal kappa-In2Se3 and the selenium (rhombohedral) rich orthorhombic In4Se3 phases of InSe are grown onto glass and gold substrates, respectively, at substrate of temperature of 300 degrees C in a vacuum media. The coating of the kappa-In2Se3 and of In4Se3 with amorphous layer of Ga2S3 is accompanied with uniform strain. The In4Se3/Ga2S3 interface is found to be of attractive quantum confinement features as it exhibited a conduction and valence band offsets of 0.20 and 1.86 eV, respectively. When the Au/In4Se3/Ga2S3 interface was contacted with carbon metallic point contact, it reveals a back to back Schottky hybrid device that behaves typically as metal-oxidesemiconductor field effect transition (MOSFET). The depletion capacitance analysis of this device revealed built in voltage values of 1.91 and 1.64 V at the Au and C sides, respectively. The designed MOSFET which is characterized in the frequency domain of 0.01-1.80 GHz is observed to exhibit, resonance-anti-resonance phenomena associated with negative capacitance effect in a wide domain of frequency that nominate it for applications in electronic circuits as parasitic capacitance minimizer, bus switching speed enhancer and low pass/high pass filter at microwave frequencies. Though Universal Design (UD) is a critical approach to design practices, it is not taking a part as a separate and must course in the curriculum of design and architecture schools. Most likely, it is taking a part as an elective course in the curriculum. Therefore graduation from design schools is formulated as having no any inclusion of UD. This study is designed to highlight the importance of UD in the education process of the design professions and to raise awareness on that concept. The awareness of UD as a term and its context in the light of its principles were investigated by interviewing students from the department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design from Atilim University, Ankara, Turkey. The results of the study indicated that, there is not enough incorporation of UD in design education as the majority of the participants did not know the concept and its content. Particularly the first semester of basic design studio teaches basic design concepts such as types of relationships, types of organizations, frame of references and Gestalt principles. All of them are used to teach students to understand the essence of the problem and are utilized to create their own solutions and their design language. It is an impetus process in which exercises are based on basic design concepts and creativity. In general, the concept of creativity is used in the production of an artwork; however, assuming that creativity is a skill that can be improved in a design process, it can also be considered that creativity is a contributory teaching tool. From this perspective, this study aims to find out if basic design concepts affect design of the first year students in relation to creativity. For this purpose, as a final work, students were asked to design a given field in the light of a fairytale. Whether the use of basic design concepts gives an impulse to the creativity of the students and this creativity turns into a successful design are matters of analysis. The study was conducted with the first year students of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design from Atilim University, Ankara, Turkey. The experts evaluated the final works of the students within the framework of basic design concepts and creativity. Results of the study showed that creativity of the basic design work depends on the number of used basic design concepts, which can be concluded as creativity of the first year students can be improved by teaching basic design concepts in basic design education. For the engineering students, there are different methods to increase the level of creativity. Also, the unusual designs stimulate the students' creativity helping them to think innovatively. The assessment tool CEDA (Creative Engineering Design Assessment) is applied with minor modifications (CEDA-modified) to measure creativity in IE 101 Introduction to Engineering course. The CEDA score is modified by using AHP method to decrease the subjectivity of the assessment criteria. The study is applied to 49 industrial engineering students as an exam question. The question asked requires developing five advantages to an unusual design given. Male students developed more ideas compared to female students when they face with unusual design. It is commonly known that there are various requirements such as learning how to learn, improving communication skills, teamwork abilities and controlling time-money etc. In order to successful in professional life, besides theoretical knowledge. Most of these mentioned requirements are even needed in our daily life to be able to learn efficiently, in any desired field. This study presents the results of a survey carried out to evaluate engineering students' viewpoints regarding lifelong learning and project-based learning. Their perspective on "learning-by-doing" is also investigated. Several aspects in engineering are considered, and evaluation is formed according to these aspects. The importance of theoretical knowledge, oral and written communication skills, economic perspectives, time and budget control, teamwork abilities, learning-by-project and learning-by-doing are the parameters evaluated in the survey. A descriptive analyze is performed in order to evaluate the engineering students' viewpoint about learning at Atilim University. The proposed survey is conducted with 80 students from Faculty of Engineering and the results are illustrated. Based on results, the main issue that the participants highlight is the need of change in learning methods and they are underlying that they want to get integrated more into real world. This study may help the mentors to design a new curriculum for achieving success in the field, which will also be a pioneer the success in every field of life. (C) 2013 The Authors.
