Some Remarks on Global Asymptotic Stability of Neural Networks With Constant Time Delay
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2007) Singh, Vimal
An elegant proof of a previously reported criterion for the uniqueness and global asymptotic stability of the equilibrium point of a class of neural networks with constant time delay is presented. The present proof yields some interesting observations. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Novel Frequency-Domain Criterion for Elimination of Limit Cycles in a Class of Digital Filters With Single Saturation Nonlinearity
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2008) Singh, Vimal
A frequency-domain criterion for the elimination of limit cycles in a class of digital filters utilizing single saturation nonlinearity is presented. The criterion is derived by exploiting the structural properties of the system under consideration in a greater detail. A novel feature of the criterion is that it takes the form of a matrix inequality, despite the fact that there is single nonlinearity in the system. An example showing the effectiveness of the criterion is given. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Stability of Discrete-Time Systems Joined With a Saturation Operator on the State-Space: Generalized Form of Liu-michel's Criterion
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2011) Singh, Vimal
A novel criterion for the global asymptotic stability of discrete-time systems in a state-space realization using saturation arithmetic was previously given by Liu and Michel. In their approach, as in most (or probably all) existing approaches, the matrix P is assumed to be symmetric. In this communique, it is shown that their approach is such as to be extended to allow the use of an unsymmetric matrix P. Taking note of this, a more general form of their criterion is presented. A modified form of the criterion is also presented. Examples show the effectiveness of the generalized approach. To the best of author's knowledge, this communique is the first report of exploiting an unsymmetric P to obtain a stability condition with reduced conservatism. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. On Global Robust Stability of Interval Hopfield Neural Networks With Delay
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2007) Singh, Vimal
A criterion for the global robust stability of interval Hopfield-type neural networks with delay is presented. The criterion is a less restrictive version of a recent criterion due to Cao and Wang. An example showing the effectiveness of the present criterion is given. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. Improved Global Robust Stability Criterion for Delayed Neural Networks
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2007) Singh, Vimal
A criterion for the uniqueness and global robust stability of the equilibrium point of interval Hopfield-type delayed neural networks is presented. The criterion is a marked improvement over a recent criterion due to Cao, Huang and Qu. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Modified Criterion for Global Asymptotic Stability of Fixed-Point State-Space Digital Filters Using Two's Complement Arithmetic
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2010) Singh, Vimal
A criterion for the global asymptotic stability of fixed-point state-space digital filters using two's complement arithmetic is presented. The criterion is a modified form of a well-known criterion due to Mills, Mullis, and Roberts. The criterion is in the form of linear matrix inequality and, hence, computationally tractable. An example shows the effectiveness of the modified criterion. (C) 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Improved Global Robust Stability of Interval Delayed Neural Networks Via Split Interval: Generalizations
(Elsevier Science inc, 2008) Singh, Vimal
dThe problem of global robust stability of Hop field-type delayed neural networks with the intervalized network parameters is revisited. Recently, a computationally tractable, i.e., linear matrix inequality (LMI) based global robust stability criterion derived from an earlier criterion based on dividing the given interval into more that two intervals has been presented. In the present paper, generalizations, i.e., division of the given interval into m intervals (where m is an integer greater than or equal to 2) is considered and some new LMI-based global robust stability criteria are derived. It is shown that, in some cases, m = 2 may not suffice, i.e., m > 2 may be needed to realize the improvement. An example showing the effectiveness of the proposed generalization is given. The paper also provides a complete and systematic explanation of the "split interval" idea. (c) 2008 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Lmi Approach To the Global Robust Stability of a Larger Class of Neural Networks With Delay
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2007) Singh, Vimal
Sufficient conditions in the form of linear matrix inequality for the uniqueness and global asymptotic stability of the equilibrium point of a large class of uncertain neural networks with delay are presented. The conditions are based on norm-bounded uncertainties. An example is given to show the effectiveness of the obtained results. A comparison is made between the present approach and an earlier approach due to Lu, Rong and Chen. An error is corrected in an earlier publication. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

On Global Exponential Stability of Delayed Cellular Neural Networks
(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2007) Singh, Vimal
Senan and Arik [Senan S, Arik S. New results for exponential stability of delayed cellular neural networks. IEEE Trans Circ Syst 112005;52(3):154-8] have presented criteria for the global exponential stability of delayed cellular neural networks. A less restrictive version of their approach is highlighted presently. A simplification of the results is discussed. A simplified form of an earlier exponential stability criterion due to Liao, Chen and Sanchez is presented. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
