Article Citation - WoS: 20Citation - Scopus: 49Coupled Coincidence Points in Partially Ordered Cone Metric Spaces With a c-distance(Hindawi Ltd, 2012) Shatanawi, Wasfi; Karapinar, Erdal; Aydi, HassenCho et al. (2012) proved some coupled fixed point theorems in partially ordered cone metric spaces by using the concept of a c-distance in cone metric spaces. In this paper, we prove some coincidence point theorems in partially ordered cone metric spaces by using the notion of a c-distance. Our results generalize several well-known comparable results in the literature. Also, we introduce an example to support the usability of our results.Article Citation - WoS: 9Some Tripled Coincidence Point Theorems for Almost Generalized Contractions in Ordered Metric Spaces(Tamkang Univ, 2013) Aydi, Hassen; Karapinar, Erdal; Mustafa, ZeadIn this paper, we prove tripled coincidence and common fixed point theorems for F: X x X x X -> X and g: X -> X satisfying almost generalized contractions in partially ordered metric spaces. The presented results generalize the theorem of Berinde and Borcut [Tripled fixed point theorems for contractive type mappings in partially ordered metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 74 (15) (2011) 4889-4897. Also, some examples are presented.Article Citation - WoS: 8Citation - Scopus: 11g-metric Spaces in Any Number of Arguments and Related Fixed-Point Theorems(Springer international Publishing Ag, 2014) Roldan, Antonio; Karapinar, Erdal; Kumam, PoomInspired by the notion of Mustafa and Sims' G-metric space and the attention that this kind of metric has received in recent times, we introduce the concept of a G-metric space in any number of variables, and we study some of the basic properties. Then we prove that the family of this kind of metric is closed under finite products. Finally, we show some fixed-point theorems that improve and extend some well-known results in this field.Article Citation - WoS: 3Citation - Scopus: 7Some Almost Generalized (ψ, Φ)-Contractions in g-metric Spaces(Hindawi Ltd, 2013) Aydi, Hassen; Amor, Sana Hadj; Karapinar, ErdalIn this paper, we introduce some almost generalized (psi, phi)-contractions in the setting of G-metric spaces. We prove some fixed points results for such contractions. The presented theorems improve and extend some known results in the literature. An example is also presented.Article Citation - WoS: 13Citation - Scopus: 18A note on some coupled fixed-point theorems on G-metric spaces(Springeropen, 2012) Ding, Hui-Sheng; Karapinar, ErdalThe purpose of this paper is to extend some recent coupled fixed-point theorems in the context of G-metric space by essentially different and more natural way. We state some examples to illustrate our results.Article Citation - WoS: 201Citation - Scopus: 263On α-ψ< Contractive Mappings(Springer international Publishing Ag, 2013) Karapinar, Erdal; Kumam, Poom; Salimi, PeymanIn this paper, we introduce the notion of alpha-psi-Meir-Keeler contractive mappings via a triangular alpha-admissible mapping. We discuss the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point of such a mapping in the setting of complete metric spaces. We state a number of examples to illustrate our results. Our results generalize some recent results in the literature. Also, we give some illustrative examples and application.Article Citation - WoS: 19Citation - Scopus: 18Best Proximity Point Theorems for kt-types Cyclic Orbital Contraction Mappings(House Book Science-casa Cartii Stiinta, 2012) Karapinar, Erdal; Petrusel, Gabriela; Tas, Kenan; MathematicsIn this manuscript, three new KT-types cyclic orbital contractions are defined and some related best proximity point theorems are given. Also, the notion of KT-type cyclic orbital Meir-Keeler contraction is defined and some fixed point theorems for this class of mappings are proved. The results of this manuscript generalize some theorems, on the same subject, of several authors, such as Kirk-Srinavasan-Veeramani, Eldered-Veeramani and Karpagam-Agrawal.Article Citation - WoS: 35Citation - Scopus: 43A New Approach To the Solution of the Fredholm Integral Equation Via a Fixed Point on Extended b-metric Spaces(Mdpi, 2018) Karapinar, Erdal; Kumari, Panda Sumati; Lateef, DurdanaIt is very well known that real-life applications of fixed point theory are restricted with the transformation of the problem in the form of f(x) = x. (1) The Knaster-Tarski fixed point theorem underlies various approaches of checking the correctness of programs. (2) The Brouwer fixed point theorem is used to prove the existence of Nash equilibria in games. (3) Dlala et al. proposed a solution for magnetic field problems via the fixed point approach. In this paper, by obtaining the fixed point results in an extended b-metric space, we are able to consider real-life applications in a very general frame such as a simple and efficient solution for a Fredholm integral equation by using the technique of a fixed point in the consideration of a new abstract space: the extended b-metric space. Moreover, to address conceptual depth within this approach, we supply illustrative examples of usage where necessary.
