Article Citation - WoS: 27Citation - Scopus: 28Generalized Meir-Keeler Type Contractions on g-metric Spaces(Elsevier Science inc, 2013) Mustafa, Zead; Aydi, Hassen; Karapinar, ErdalIn this manuscript, we introduce generalized Meir-Keeler type contractions over G-metric spaces. Moreover, we show that every orbitally continuous generalized Meir-Keeler type contraction has a unique fixed point on complete G-metric spaces. We illustrate our results by some given examples. We obtain also several common fixed point results by using the (E.A) property. (c) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. Furthermore, it shall discuss the existence of basic fixed point theorems in the setting of perturbed quasi-metric spaces.Article Citation - WoS: 178Citation - Scopus: 184Couple fixed point theorems for nonlinear contractions in cone metric spaces(Pergamon-elsevier Science Ltd, 2010) Karapinar, ErdalThe notion of coupled fixed point is introduced by Bhaskar and Lakshmikantham (2006) in [13]. In this manuscript, some results of Lakshmikantham and Ciric (2009) in [5] are extended to the class of cone metric spaces. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. We also investigate under which conditions such mappings posses a unique fixed point in the framework of complete metric spaces. We consider examples to show the validity of our main results.Article Citation - WoS: 10Fixed Point Results in Orbitally Complete Partial Metric Spaces(Malaysian Mathematical Sciences Soc, 2013) Nashine, Hemant Kumar; Karapinar, ErdalIn this paper, we prove two fixed point theorems for maps that satisfy a contraction principle involving a rational expression in complete partial metric spaces.Article Citation - WoS: 17Citation - Scopus: 27Fixed Point Theorems in New Generalized Metric Spaces(Springer Basel Ag, 2016) Karapinar, Erdal; Karapınar, Erdal; O'Regan, Donal; Roldan Lopez de Hierro, Antonio Francisco; Shahzad, Naseer; Karapınar, Erdal; Mathematics; MathematicsThe aim of our paper is to present new fixed point theorems under very general contractive conditions in generalized metric spaces which were recently introduced by Jleli and Samet in [Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2015 (2015), doi:10.1186/s13663-015-0312-7]. Although these spaces are not endowed with a triangle inequality, these spaces extend some well known abstract metric spaces (for example, b-metric spaces, Hitzler-Seda metric spaces, modular spaces with the Fatou property, etc.). We handle several types of contractive conditions. The main theorems we present involve a reflexive and transitive binary relation that is not necessarily a partial order. We give a counterexample to a recent fixed point result of Jleli and Samet. Our results extend and unify recent results in the context of partially ordered abstract metric spaces.Article Citation - WoS: 1Citation - Scopus: 4Fixed Point Theorems for Mappings With a Contractive Iterate at a Point in Modular Metric Spaces(House Book Science-casa Cartii Stiinta, 2022) Karapinar, Erdal; Aksoy, Umit; Fulga, Andreea; Erhan, Inci M.In this manuscript, we introduce two new types of contraction, namely, w-contraction and strong Sehgal w-contraction, in the framework of modular metric spaces. We indicate that under certain assumptions, such mappings possess a unique fixed point. For the sake of completeness, we consider examples and an application to matrix equations.Article Citation - WoS: 141Citation - Scopus: 144Uniqueness of Solution for Higher-Order Nonlinear Fractional Differential Equations With Multi-Point and Integral Boundary Conditions(Springer-verlag Italia Srl, 2021) Sevinik-Adiguzel, Rezan; Aksoy, Umit; Karapinar, Erdal; Erhan, Inci M.This study is devoted to the development of alternative conditions for existence and uniqueness of nonlinear fractional differential equations of higher-order with integral and multi-point boundary conditions. It uses a novel approach of employing a fixed point theorem based on contractive iterates of the integral operator for the corresponding fixed point problem. We start with developing an existence-uniqueness theorem for self-mappings with contractive iterate in a b-metric-like space. Then, we obtain the unique solvability of the problem under suitable conditions by utilizing an appropriate b-metric-like space.Article Citation - WoS: 4Citation - Scopus: 4Fixed Point Theorems for Generalized Weak Contractions Satisfying Rational Expression on a Ordered Partial Metric Space(Maik Nauka/interperiodica/springer, 2013) Karapinar, Erdal; Marudai, M.; Pragadeeswarar, V.The purpose of this manuscript is to present a fixed point theorem using a generalized weak contraction condition of rational type in the context of partial metric spaces.
