Spectral Approach To Derive the Representation Formulae for Solutions of the Wave Equation
(Hindawi Publishing Corporation, 2012) Guseinov, Gusein Sh.
Using spectral properties of the Laplace operator and some structural formula for rapidly decreasing functions of the Laplace operator, we offer a novel method to derive explicit formulae for solutions to the Cauchy problem for classical wave equation in arbitrary dimensions. Among them are the well-known d'Alembert, Poisson, and Kirchhoff representation formulae in low space dimensions.

Massive Mimo Systems for 5g: a Systematic Mapping Study on Antenna Design Challenges and Channel Estimation Open Issues
(inst Engineering Technology-iet, 2021) Benzaghta, Mohamed; Rabie, Khaled M.
The next generation of mobile networks (5G) is expected to achieve high data rates, reduce latency, as well as improve the spectral and energy efficiency of wireless communication systems. Several technologies are being explored to be used in 5G systems. One of the main promising technologies that is seen to be the enabler of 5G is massive multiple-input multiple-output (mMIMO) systems. Numerous studies have indicated the utility of mMIMO in upcoming wireless networks. However, there are several challenges that needs to be unravelled. In this paper, the latest progress of research on challenges in mMIMO systems is tracked, in the context of mutual coupling, antenna selection, pilot contamination and feedback overhead. The results of a systematic mapping study performed on 63 selected primary studies, published between the year 2017 till the second quarter of 2020, are presented. The main objective of this secondary study is to identify the challenges regarding antenna design and channel estimation, give an overview on the state-of-the-art solutions proposed in the literature, and finally, discuss emerging open research issues that need to be considered before the implementation of mMIMO systems in 5G networks.

Fixed Point Theorems for a Class of Α-Admissible Contractions and Applications To Boundary Value Problem
(Hindawi Publishing Corporation, 2014) Alsulami, Hamed H.; Gulyaz, Selma; Karapinar, Erdal; Erhan, Inci M.
A class of alpha-admissible contractions defined via altering distance functions is introduced. The existence and uniqueness conditions for fixed points of such maps on complete metric spaces are investigated and related fixed point theorems are presented. The results are reconsidered in the context of partially ordered metric spaces and applied to boundary value problems for differential equations with periodic boundary conditions.

Design and Implementation of a Mobile Webcast Application With Google Analytics and Cloud Messaging Functionality
    (Institute of Physics Publishing, 2019) Jonathan,O.; Misra,S.; Ibanga,E.; Maskeliunas,R.; Damasevicius,R.; Ahuja,R.
Church cast is an application developed to bring the messages of ministries closer to their members by harnessing the Internet and mobile devices. Due to the very busy schedules of people and religious restrictions in some countries, people are not usually able to be physically present at their locations of worship to listen to or watch their ministers. Existing applications developed in the past like DOMI radio and Redemption TV Media were limited to only audio, poor and unintuitive user interfaces and not providing the administrator any interactions with the users of the application. In this work, we develop an Android-based application that makes it possible for users to watch live streams and on-demand videos from their ministries using their mobile devices. The application also incorporates sharing and analytics functionalities to enable users to share videos messages with loved ones and help the administrator monitor users' activities on the application respectively. The cloud messaging functionality enables the administrator to send messages such as announcements to user devices as push notifications. This would eventually increase user knowledge and interaction with the activities going on in their respective places of worship. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Fixed Points of Modified f-contractive Mappings in Complete Metric-Like Spaces
(Hindawi Ltd, 2015) Alsulami, Hamed H.; Karapinar, Erdal; Piri, Hossein
We introduce the notion of modified F-contractive mappings in the setting of complete metric-like spaces and we investigate the existence and uniqueness of fixed point of such mappings. The presented results unify, extend, and improve several results in the related literature.

Fixed Point Results for Almost Generalized Cyclic (ψ, Φ)-Weak Contractive Type Mappings With Applications
(Hindawi Publishing Corporation, 2012) Jleli, Mohamed; Karapinar, Erdal; Samet, Bessem
We define a class of almost generalized cyclic (psi,phi)-weak contractive mappings and discuss the existence and uniqueness of fixed points for such mappings. We present some examples to illustrate our results. Moreover, we state some applications of our main results in nonlinear integral equations.

Development of a Criminal Profiling Instrument
    (2011) Aydin,F.; Dirilen-Gumus,O.
This study summarizes the steps of developing a Criminal Profiling Instrument. Criminal Profiling (CP) is one of the crucial topics in forensic psychology. CP comes into prominence especially in investigations which there is no relationship between the offender and the victim, no rational cause for committing the crime and no crime scene evidence is available. CP initially emerged fictionally, in movies, in novels. However, after the establishment of Behavioral Science Unit in FBI Academy, CP has been used more systematically. Criminal profiling is applied in seven stages; the most important of all is criminal profiling stage. That is why this study aims at developing an instrument to be used in evaluating the quality of criminal profiling. © 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

Coupled Fixed Points for Meir-Keeler Contractions in Ordered Partial Metric Spaces
(Hindawi Ltd, 2012) Abdeljawad, Thabet; Aydi, Hassen; Karapinar, Erdal
In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a new Meir-Keeler type coupled fixed point theorem for two mappings F : X x X -> X and g : X -> X on a partially ordered partial metric space. We present an application to illustrate our obtained results. Further, we remark that the metric case of our results proved recently in Gordji et al. (2012) have gaps. Therefore, our results revise and generalize some of those presented in Gordji et al. (2012)
