The work covers the semileptonic transitions of the Xi(b) and Xi(c) baryons. The form factors for the transitions Xi(b) -> Xi l(+)l(-) and Xi(c) -> Xi lv are obtained using their currents in the most general form. The obtained form factors are also used to calculate the decay widths and branching ratios of the considered transitions.
