| dc.description.abstract | Republic of Cyprus established under the guarantee of three guarantor countries; Turkey, England and Greece collapsed in the week named Bloody Christmas due to the Greek and Greek Cypriot attempts and the attacks on Turkish Cypriots so as to Hellenize the island and annex it by force, then Turkish Cypriots came face to face with a new period of agony, isolation, and bitter life st on the island. Starting from 21 December 1963, Turkey and the Red Crescent are the ones which started helping and donating for Turkish Cypriots with n hesitation and drawbacks. In addition to a good variety of humanitarian aid for Turkish Cypriots, Red Cross Directorate also issued a series of 5 stamps named Aid Stamp for Cyprus and the financial donations also presented to Turkish Cypriot community on the island. This scientific study aims at this unknown humanitarian aid supplied and donated by Turkish Red Crescent General Directorate. | en_US |
