Abstract

Trajectory and attitude calculations for one of the most well-known store separation case, Eglin test case, predicted by using two different methods, namely the “Captive Trajectory Method” and “Grid Surveying Method”, are integrated and the Computational Fluids Dynamic computations obtained with these tools are compared with wind tunnel experimental results. Computational results for the trajectories, Euler angles, velocities and angle rates obtained from both methods are in very good agreement with wind tunnel results. © 2017, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA.
