We are a department that has been active for 22 years with the goal to determine the structural changes in economy and the problems of general business administration, to develop problem solving skills and to devise modelling techniques that fit our aims. Among our cornerstones are to graduate more students into administrative positions of our institutions, to help them realize their inner potential to be go-getters, to prepare them for the entrance exams for high-tier, well-respected public positions, and to help them participate graduate and doctorate degree programs at ease, nationally or internationally. In this regard, our course curriculum is constantly subject to updates. In addition, we do all in our power to graduate students that stand out, with double-major program opportunities. We make an effort to aid our students in kick-starting their professional life after completing a period of one semester at Private - Public institutions within the framework of our Cooperative Education Program.

Abstract

Yoğun ve özverili çalışma gerektiren sağlık işletmelerinde, hemşirelerin daha etkin, istekli ve verimli çalışmalarının sağlanabilmesi için, iş tatmininin ve örgütsel bağlılığın sağlanması gereklidir. Araştırmamızda; GATA Hastanesi'nde çalışan hemşirelerin iş tatmini boyutları ve örgütsel bağlılık arasındaki ilişkinin nasıl gerçekleştiği ve hangi değişkenlere göre bu ilişkinin farklılık taşıdığı hususları incelenmiştir. Ayrıca örgütsel bağlılık düzeylerinin tespit edilmesi, bağlılık türlerine ilişkin tutumlarının ortaya konulması, çıkan sonuçların nedenlerinin tartışılması ve yöneticilere çeşitli öneriler geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.Araştırmada, iş tatmininin ölçülmesinde, Weiss ve arkadaşları tarafından geliştirilen ?Minnesota İş Tatmini Ölçeği ? Kısa Formu?, örgütsel bağlılığın ölçülmesinde ise, ?Allen ve Meyer'in Üç Boyutlu Örgütsel Bağlılık Modeli? kullanılmıştır. Anketler, Ankara GATA Hastanesi'nde 238 hemşireye uygulanmıştır.Araştırma sonucunda, iş tatmini ile örgütsel bağlılık arasında pozitif bir ilişki (r=0,449) bulunmuştur. Ancak iş tatmini ile örgütsel bağlılığın alt boyutu olan normatif bağlılık ile istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki bulunamamıştır. Hemşirelerin iş tatmini ve örgütsel bağlılık algılamalarının, çalışılan klinik, meslekte çalışma yılı ve medeni durum değişkenlerine göre farklılaştığı da tespit edilmiştir.Anahtar sözcükler:1. It is important to provide job satisfaction and organizational commitment for nurses to work effectively, willing and more productive in health management where intensive and self-sacrificing work is necessary. In this research, it was investigated that how the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment in nurses working at Gulhane Military Medical Academy was performed and also the properties of this relationship interact according to different variables. It was also aimed to determine the level of organizational commitment, to expose the attitudes related with commitment types, to discuss the causes of these results and to develop various proposals to managers.In this investigation, ?Minnessota Job Satisfaction Scale-Short Form? that was developed by Weiss et al. was used to measure job satisfaction, whereas ?Allen and Meyer?s Three-Dimensional Organizational Commitment Model? was used to measure organizational commitment. The questionnaries were applied to 238 nurses in Gulhane Military Medical Academy Hospital.As a result of this research, a positive relationship was found between job satisfaction and organizational commitment (r=0,449). However, no statistically significant relationship was determined between job satisfaction and normative commitment which is low dimension of organizational commitment. It was also identified that the nurses perception of job satisfaction and organizational commitment varied according to the working clinic, time of occupation and marital status.Key words:1.
