We are a department that has been active for 22 years with the goal to determine the structural changes in economy and the problems of general business administration, to develop problem solving skills and to devise modelling techniques that fit our aims. Among our cornerstones are to graduate more students into administrative positions of our institutions, to help them realize their inner potential to be go-getters, to prepare them for the entrance exams for high-tier, well-respected public positions, and to help them participate graduate and doctorate degree programs at ease, nationally or internationally. In this regard, our course curriculum is constantly subject to updates. In addition, we do all in our power to graduate students that stand out, with double-major program opportunities. We make an effort to aid our students in kick-starting their professional life after completing a period of one semester at Private - Public institutions within the framework of our Cooperative Education Program.

Abstract

Blokzincir teknolojisinin gelişimiyle duymaya başladığımız ve bu teknolojinin sağladığı en büyük yeniliklerden olan kripto paralar, para kavramının uzun insanlık tarihi içinde geldiği en son aşamadır. Tarih boyunca çağın gereksinimlerine uygun bir şekilde değişim gösteren para kavramı, 2008 yılında yayınlanan 'Eşten Eşe Elektronik Nakit Ödeme Sistemi' başlıklı bir makale ile yeni bir değişikliğe uğradı. Kriptoloji biliminin sağladığı imkanlar sayesinde, merkezi bir sisteme bağlı olmadan çalışabilen, dışarıdan müdahalelere kapalı ve güvenilir bir parasal sistem olarak ortaya çıkan kripto paralar, ödeme aracı işlevlerinin yanı sıra yatırım aracı özellikleri ile de öne çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada kripto paralar hakkında medyada çıkan haberlerin yatırımcı algısı üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Türkiye'de en çok ziyaretçi alan üç haber sitesinde 2019-2021 yılları arasında kripto paralar hakkında çıkan haberler incelenmiş ve bu haberlerin yatırımcı algısı üzerindeki etkileri, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olan odak grup çalışması kapsamında araştırılmıştır.
Cryptocurrency, which we have started to hear with the development of blockchain technology and which is one of the biggest innovations provided by this technology, is the last stage of the concept of money in the long history of humanity. The concept of money, which has changed throughout history in accordance with the needs of the age, underwent a new change with an article titled 'Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash Payment System' published in 2008. With the opportunities provided by the science of cryptology, cryptocurrencies, which can work without being connected to a central system, are safe from outside interventions, and emerge as a reliable monetary system, stand out with their investment tool features as well as payment tool functions. In this study, the effects of news in the media about cryptocurrencies on investor perception were investigated. Within the scope of the study, the news about cryptocurrencies in the three most visited news sites in Turkey between the years 2019-2021 were examined and the effects of these news on investor perception were investigated within the scope of focus group study, which is one of the qualitative research methods.
