    A Literature Review on Mhe Selection Problem: Levels, Contexts, and Approaches

    This paper presents a review on selection problem of material handling equipment (MHE) and general equipment used in industry area. The issue on MHE is widely paid attention since MHE has contribution on material, good and product accomplishment. Few methods and softwares have been proposed and developed to select the most appropriate MHE for a complex selection problem. Today's high diverisity of MHE categories and types influence the generation of many possible choices which leads to the complexity. In this paper, a further discussion in terms of MHE and equipment including three major points namely level of selection, the context of selection problem and the approaches are served to highlight the complex MHE selection according to the number of possible choices provided, to analyse the consideration for the problem context, and to reveal the superior method for complex MHE selection. Forty-two papers collected from the past study are presented asscociating each point of the discussion.

    The Intuitionistic Fuzzy Electre Model

    The purpose of this research is to postulate and define a new model for Multi-Criteria DecisionMaking (MCDM) problems utilizing the Intuitionistic Fuzzy ELimination Et Choix Traduisant la REalite (IFELECTRE) method, otherwise identified as the Intuitionistic Fuzzy Index of Hesitation Degree method. The Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFS) method offers certain advantages in using vagueness over a Fuzzy Set (FS): the IFELECTRE method is used to handle more complicated problems, whereas the Decision-Makers (DMs) have some vagueness in assigning option values to the objects considered. The processes of evaluating qualitative and quantitative scales are combined in this work and the proposed model enables different DMs to assess and use IFS. The original ELECTRE method cannot be operated effectively owing to a lack of precise information under different conditions.

    Bulanık Çkkv Yaklaşımı Kullanarak Bir Bakım Planının Seçilmesi için Karar Destek Modelinin Geliştirilmesi

    Karmaşık karar vermede, çok kriterli karar vermenin (ÇKKV) metodolojilerinin kullanılması, çeşitli alternatifler arasında bilinçli ve haklı bir karar vermenin en bilimsel yoludur. ÇKKV'ler farklı amaçlarla ve bu amaca ulaşmada etkinliklerini kanıtlayan birkaç uygulamayla kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmada, farklı ÇKKV metodolojilerinin avantajları ve dezavantajları, doğruluk ve hassasiyetlerini artırmak için uygulanan farklı tekniklerle birlikte yapılan araştırmalardır. Çalışmanın temel amacı, birçok ÇKKV yönteminin gücünü birleştiren ve endüstriyel uygulama için en uygun bakım politikası / stratejisini seçmek için uygulayan hibrit bir ÇKKV süreci geliştirmektir. Dahası, sonuçların belirsizliğini ve belirsizliğini ortadan kaldırmak için kullanılan tüm ÇKKV tekniklerinde bulanık dilbilimsel terimler kullanılmaktadır. ÇKKV yöntemlerini hibrit bağlamda kullanan ve bulanık dilbilimsel terimleri kullanan çalışmalar üzerinde yapılan kapsamlı bir literatür taraması ile bulanık DEMATEL - AHS - TOPSIS hibrit tekniğini kullanmak için bir model geliştirilmiştir. Uygulamasıyla birlikte model, çeşitli AHS yöntemini kullanarak önceliklendirme kriterleri arasında çift yönlü bir karşılaştırma yapmanın yanı sıra, birkaç kriter arasında karşılıklı ilişkiler kurulmasında bulanık DEMATEL'in güçlerini birleştiren türünün ilk örneğidir. Daha sonra, alternatifler, negatif ve pozitif çözümler oluşturarak ve alternatiflerin her biri için göreceli yakınlığı hesaplayarak bulanık TOPSIS yöntemi kullanılarak karşılaştırılır. Ayrıca, altı ana kriter, yirmi dört alt kriter ve beş alternatif model başvurusu için literatürden seçilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulguları, koruyucu bakımın yakından takip ettiği ve bunu takiben koruyucu bakımın en iyi seçim olduğunu bir bakım planı olarak göstermektedir. Araştırmanın sonuçları, geliştirilen modelin uzmanların girdilerine dayalı bakım planları seçme ve gelişmiş bulanık ÇKKV yaklaşımını kullanma konusundaki başarısını doğruladı.

    A Hybrid Approach for Selecting Material Handling Equipment in Warehouse

    Depo işlemleri vely yakından elleçleme faaliyetleri ile ilgilidir. Yükleme, boşaltma, malzeme taşıma ve toplama faaliyetlerinin büyük bir kısmını alır. Düzgün de malzeme, operatör ve çevre, malzeme elleçleme ekipmanları (MEE) değer katkı olarak gerekli malzemeyi işlemek için. Göz Tk-kriterler ve çok objektif karar verme sorunu ile bağlantılı olduğundan uygun bir mhe seçimi bir çaba gerekiyor. Burada, entropi tabanlı-hiyerarşik bulanık TOPSIS ve MOMILP bir melez bir yöntem yani entegrasyonu en iyi alternatif arayan için MEE seçim problemine önerilmiştir. Alternatif subjektif ve objektif kriterlere göre belirlenen kriterlere göre değerlendirilir. subjektif ağırlığı bulanık AHP türetilmiştir. Objektif kriterler ile başa çıkmak için, Entropi yöntemi ağırlığını belirlemek için benimsenmiştir. Alternatif değerlendirme bulanık TOPSIS kullanılarak yapılır. Seçimin son yürütülmesi için, MOMILP modeli kullanım dezavantajı en aza indirmek ve malzeme taşıma toplam maliyetini en aza indirmek için iki hedefleri, birleştiren geliştirilmiştir. Augmented e-contraint yöntemi (AUGMECON) modelini çözmek için kullanılır. Bir vaka çalışması yöntemini göstermek için verilir. Sonuçlar karmaşık bir karar verme hibrit yöntemin etkinliğini göstermektedir.

    Increasing Creativity With Unusual Designs

    Creativity is important in synthesizing new ideas. For the engineering students, there are different methods to increase the level of creativity. Also, the unusual designs stimulate the students' creativity helping them to think innovatively. The assessment tool CEDA (Creative Engineering Design Assessment) is applied with minor modifications (CEDA-modified) to measure creativity in IE 101 Introduction to Engineering course. The CEDA score is modified by using AHP method to decrease the subjectivity of the assessment criteria. The study is applied to 49 industrial engineering students as an exam question. The question asked requires developing five advantages to an unusual design given. Male students developed more ideas compared to female students when they face with unusual design. More designs may be required to discuss through out the term and a proper term project that requires more design may be submitted to increase the success level.

    A Hybrid Approach for Selecting Material Handling Equipment in a Warehouse

    Warehouse operations are closely related to material handling activities. Loading, unloading, transporting and picking material constitute a huge part of the activities. In order to handle material properly as well as to contribute value to the material, the operator and the environment, utilizing Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is required. The selection of proper MHEs requires great focus since its consideration is linked to mutli-criteria and multi-objective decision making problems. Here, a hybrid method is proposed to address the MHE selection problem. An approach that integrates the entropy based hierarchical fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) and Multi-Objective Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MOMILP) is used for seeking the best alternative. The evaluation of alternatives is performed based on both subjective and objective criteria. Subjective weights are derived from a fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). To deal with objective criteria, the entropy method is adopted to determine the weights, and the integrated weights are also calculated. The alternatives are rated by using fuzzy TOPSIS. For final execution of the selection, an MOMILP model is developed incorporating two goals, namely to minimize the disadvantage of material handling operation and to minimize the total cost of material handling. The AUGMented E-CONtraint method (AUGMECON) is used to solve the model. A case study is given to illustrate the method. The results show the effectiveness of the hybrid method in complex decision making.

    Supplier Selection Using Integrated Fuzzy Topsis and Mcgp: a Case Study

    This study provides an overview of the fuzzy TOPSIS and Multi-Choice Goal Programming (MCGP) methods for Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) problem under uncertain environments. Supplier selection is mostly a complex multi-criteria problem which consists of qualitative and quantitative criteria. Those criteria should be considered advertently as a final decision in comprehensive and objective supplier selection as well. This study deal with the optimum decision making for selecting supplier and allocating order by applying the proposed method of integrated fuzzy TOPSIS and MCGP (Multi-Choice Goal Programming). To deal with the uncertain and imprecise judgment of decision makers, a Fuzzy TOPSIS is utilized to express it by triangular fuzzy numbers. The final supplier selection and order allocation are obtained by integrating the closeness coefficients to the MCGP model. A numerical example is given to clarify the main results developed in this paper. (C) 2013 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.

    Bu tez, Çok Kriterli Karar Alma (MCDM) sorunu için İdeal Çözüme Benzerlik Üzerine Tercih Sıralaması Tekniği'nin (TOPSIS) bir açıklamasını yapmakta ve Tedarikçi Seçimini (SS) gözden geçirmektedir. SS, MCDM yöntemleri ile anlaşılmış ve SS ile ilgili tüm karşılaştırmalar ve tartışmalar kısaca ele alınmıştır. Çalışma TOPSIS temelli bir değerlendirme yöntemi kullanmaktadır. Tedarikçi seçimi sorunu TOPSIS kullanılarak formüle edilmiş ve ardından girişimin etkileri ve seçim kriterleri arasındaki ilişki göz önüne alınarak kriterlerin ağırlıklarının hesaplanması için kullanılmıştır. Mevcut model, bir TOPSIS modeli kullanarak tedarikçi değişkenlerinin doğru ve kolay bir sınıflandırmasını sağlamaktadır. Bu vakada varılan başlıca sonuçların daha iyi anlaşılmasını sağlamak için sayısal bir örnek verilmiştir.
