Determining the Limit Values in End-To Secure Communication Within Satellite Network With Fnbdt/Scip
    (2012) Dilli,O.; Akcam,N.; Koyuncu,M.
Although new network technologies provide numerous capabilities today, the diversity of the communication networks and their standards has brought out tremendous problems about harmony and interoperability of the communication devices. Providing end-to-end secure communication on different network infrastructures has needed much effort than usual. Some developed countries were become aware of the problem and started some studies at the end of the 20 th century. One of the important studies on this problem was Future Narrow Band Digital Terminal (FNBDT) Project started by USA. The aim of the project was to achieve end-to-end secure communication of different terminal devices communicating on different networks. Later, NATO countries got involved in this work with the title Secure Communication Interoperability Protocol (SCIP). This paper submits the results of FNBDT/SCIP tests done by terminal emulator on satellite networks and discusses the obtained results from different perspectives. © Sila Science.

Secure Communication Tests Carried Out With Next Generation Narrow Band Terminal in Satellite and Local Area Networks
    (2013) Dilli,O.; Koyuncu,M.; Akcam,N.; Oguslu,E.
Communication becomes more and more important day by day and especially secure communication from one end to the other holds a vital place in our daily life. Developed countries which are aware of this fact has started to carry out serious studies on secure communication from one end to the other. One of the most important studies is the project which appeared as FNBDT (Future Narrow Band Digital Terminal) at first and was renamed as SCIP (Secure Communication Interoperability Protocol) later on. © 2013 IEEE.
