Industrial Engineering is a field of engineering that develops and applies methods and techniques to design, implement, develop and improve systems comprising of humans, materials, machines, energy and funding. Our department was founded in 1998, and since then, has graduated hundreds of individuals who may compete nationally and internationally into professional life. Accredited by MÜDEK in 2014, our student-centered education continues. In addition to acquiring the knowledge necessary for every Industrial engineer, our students are able to gain professional experience in their desired fields of expertise with a wide array of elective courses, such as E-commerce and ERP, Reliability, Tabulation, or Industrial Engineering Applications in the Energy Sector. With dissertation projects fictionalized on solving real problems at real companies, our students gain experience in the sector, and a wide network of contacts. Our education is supported with ERASMUS programs. With the scientific studies of our competent academic staff published in internationally-renowned magazines, our department ranks with the bests among other universities. IESC, one of the most active student networks at our university, continues to organize extensive, and productive events every year.

Abstract

Akıllı şehirlerde tasarlanacak olan bir kavramsal çerçeve önerisiyle Covid-19 pandemisi ışığında gelecekte ortaya çıkabilecek olası bir salgın hastalığın önlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Sistem Geliştirme Yaşam Döngüsü kullanılarak sistem aşama aşama analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda Covid-19 Salgını Akıllı Şehir Dizaynı başlığı altında olası salgın dönemlerinin kontrol altına alınabilmesi için bir kavramsal çerçeve önerilmiştir. Bu kavramsal çerçeve, literatür taraması ışığında tasarlanmıştır. Covid-19 pandemisi örneğiyle tüm salgın hastalıkların yayılmadan, önlenebilmesi için akıllı şehirlerin yapılandırılması büyük önem arz etmektedir. Analiz ekibi tarafından ortaya çıkarılan analiz sonucu ile akıllı şehirlerin kolay bir şekilde yapılandırılması sağlanabilecektir. Bu yapılandırma ile akıllı şehirlerde kurulacak olan bir salgın birimi güncel tutularak kavramsal çerçeve geliştirilebilecektir. Var olan salgın birimi sayesinde olası bir pandemi döneminde birim hazır bulunarak süreci en az zarar ile temkinli ve doğru bir şekilde yürütmüş olacaktır.
With the proposal of a conceptual framework to be designed in smart cities, it is aimed to prevent a possible epidemic disease that may occur in the future in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic. In this study, the system was analyzed step by step using the System Development Life Cycle. As a result of the analysis, a conceptual framework has been proposed under the title of Covid-19 Epidemic Smart City Design in order to control possible epidemic periods. This conceptual framework was designed as a result of literature review.In the light of the Covid-19 pandemic, structuring of smart cities is of great importance in order to prevent all epidemics from spreading. As a result of the analysis revealed by the analysis team, it will be possible to easily configure smart cities. With this configuration, an epidemic unit to be established in smart cities will be kept up-to-date and a conceptual framework will be developed. Thanks to the existing epidemic unit, the epidemic unit will be present during a possible pandemic and will carry out the process cautiously and correctly with the least damage.
