Suriye iç savaşı ve Türkiye'nin sınır ötesi harekâtlarının önemi

Abstract

Orta Doğu coğrafyasında 2010 yılında başlayan Arap Baharı ayaklanmaları kısa sürede Suriye'ye de sıçramış ve ülkede iç savaş başlamıştır. Türkiye, sınır komşusunda mevcut statükonun sarsılması ve ardından yaşanan iç karışıklığın sonlandırılması için gerekli girişimlerde bulunmuşsa da fayda etmemiştir. Söz konusu iç karışıklık, Suriye'nin kuzeyinde, rejim tarafından kontrolün kaybedilmesini ve bölgede terör örgütlerinin oluşmasını sağlamıştır. Suriye'deki terör grupları Türkiye'ye saldırmış ve terör eylemleri gerçekleştirmiştir. Türkiye, bölgedeki şiddetin sonlandırılması için dünya kamuoyundan uluslararası hukuk çerçevesinde destek beklemiş; ancak Suriye sadece uyarılmış ve kınanmıştır. Türkiye, artan terör saldırıları neticesinde sınırının terörden arındırılması için askerî operasyonlar düzenlemiştir. Söz konusu gelişmeler kapsamında bölgeye yönelik gerçekleştirilen stratejik hamleler önem arz etmeye devam etmektedir.

The Arab Spring uprisings that began in 2010 in the Middle East geography quickly spread to Syria and the civil war began in the country. Turkey has taken necessary initiatives to shake up the status quo on its border and to end the internal turmoil that followed, but it has not. The civil unrest has led to the loss of control by the regime in northern Syria and the formation of terrorist organizations in the region. Terrorist organizations in Syria attacked Turkey and carried out terrorist acts. Turkey expected support from the world to end the violence in the region within the framework of international law, but Syria was only warned and condemned by others. As a result of increasing terrorist attacks, Turkey has started to organize military operations to clear its border from terrorism. Within the scope of these developments, strategic moves towards the region continue to be important.
