Kktc'de Bireylerin ve İşletmelerin Kripto Paraya Karşı Tutumları

Abstract

Günümüzde birçok alanda olduğu gibi gelişen teknolojinin sonuçlarından biri olarak finans dünyasında da değişim yaşanmış olup kripto para birimleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Kripto paralar geleneksel finans sisteminden farklı olarak merkezi olmayan, kriptografi yöntemi ile kullanılan, mübadele aracı, değer ölçüsü ve tasarruf aracı olarak kullanılabilen, blokzincir teknolojisi vasıtasıyla üretilen bir para birimidir. Son zamanlarda kripto para birimlerinin popülaritesinin sürekli artması sonucunda dünyanın her yerinde bireylerin dikkatini çeken para türlerinden birisi haline gelmiştir. Bunun bir sonucu olarak da işletmeler de bu para birimleri ile ilgilenmeye başlamıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, KKTC halkının kripto paralara karşı tutumunu ölçmek ve KKTC'de bulunan kripto para kabul eden işletmelerin sebeplerini incelemektir. Bu amaçla, nicel ve nitel araştırma yaklaşımlarından oluşan ikili araştırma modeli uygulanmıştır. Nicel araştırmada 261 kişiye anket uygulanmış, nitel araştırmada ise kripto para kabul eden 11 işletmenin temsilcileri ile mülakat yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda elde edilen bulgular neticesiyle sonuç ve öneri bölümünde detaylı olarak değerlendirmelere yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca KKTC kapsamında kripto para konusunda yapılmış bir çalışma olmamasından dolayı bu çalışma ile literatüre katkı sağlanacağı düşünülmektedir.Today, as in many areas, as one of the results of developing technology, there has been a change in the world of finance and cryptocurrencies have emerged. Cryptocurrencies, unlike the traditional financial system, are decentralized, used with the method of cryptography, used as a means of exchange, a measure of value and a savings tool, and is a currency produced through blockchain technology. Recently, as a result of the continuous increase in popularity of cryptocurrencies, it has become one of the forms of money that attracts the attention of individuals all over the world. As a result of this, businesses have also started to deal with these currencies. The aim of this study is to measure the attitude of the TRNC people towards cryptocurrencies and to examine the reasons for businesses accepting cryptocurrencies in the TRNC. For this purpose, a dual research model consisting of quantitative and qualitative research approaches was applied. In the quantitative research, 261 people were surveyed, and in the qualitative research, representatives of 11 businesses that accept cryptocurrencies were interviewed. As a result of the findings obtained as a result of the analysis, detailed evaluations are included in the conclusion and recommendation section. In addition, since there is no study on crypto money in the TRNC, it is thought that this study will contribute to the literature.
