Turizmin Yerel Kalkınmaya Etkisi: Ankara Kızılcahamam Örneği

Abstract

Turizm yerel ekonomik kalkınmayı harekete geçiren sektörlerden bir tanesidir. Yerel ekonomik kalkınma kısaca, bir yöreye özgü dönüşüm süreçlerinin harekete geçirilmesi olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Yerel ekonomik kalkınmada öncelikle bölgeye ait yerel potansiyellerin belirlenmesi ve bu potansiyellerin, aktörlerin işbirliği ile etkin ve verimli bir şekilde değerlendirilme sürecidir. Kızılcahamam'da 1994 yılından bu yana turizm ana geçim kaynağıdır. Bu çalışmada Kızılcahamam'ın mevcut turizmi incelenmiş ve alternatif turizm potansiyelinin ilçenin kalkınmasında bir dinamik olarak uygulanabilirliği araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla öncelikle Kızılcahamam'da mevcut turizm değerlerinin yerel kalkınmaya etkisi incelenmiş ve ilçenin alternatif turizm potansiyeli ortaya konmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında; otel yöneticileri ve yerel esnafın turizmin yerel ekonomiye etkisi konusunda görüşlerini alabilmek amacıyla derinlemesine mülakatlardan yararlanılmıştır. Son olarak; tüm bu çalışmalardan elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda,Kızılcahamam'da turizmin yerel kalkınmaya etkisinin artırılabilmesi konusunda öneriler ortaya konmuştur.Anahtar Kelimeler: Turizm, Termal Turizm, Yerel Kalkınma, Alternatif Turizm, Turistik İşletmeler, KızılcahamamTourism is one of the sectors that evokes local economic development. Local economic development is briefly defined as stimulation to evolution progress of a local region. Local economic development is a progress in which local potentials of the region are identified firstly and then by the cooperation of actors, these potentials are turned to account in an effective and efficient way. Since 1994, tourism has been the main source of income in Kızılcahamam. In this study, the present tourism of Kızılcahamam has been investigated and for the sake of development of the district, applicability of alternative tourism potential as a dynamic has been searched. To this end, the effect of present tourism values to local development in Kızılcahamam has been investigted firstly and then alternative tourism potential of the district has been put forth for consideration. Within the context of the study, in an effort to take the points of view of hotel managers and local artisans about the effect of tourism to local economy, in-depth interviews have been utilized. Finally, in accordance with the findings derived from these studies, proposals about the purpose of increasing the effect of tourism to local development in Kızılcahamam have been put forth for consideration.Key Words: Tourism, Thermal Tourism, Local Development,Alternative Tourism, Touristy Establishments, Kızılcahamam
