Abstract

This study focuses on the multidimensional issue of Cyprus annexed unilaterally and unfairly by the United Kingdom at first and then turned into an international problem by great powers and with interventions of the United Nations (UN), lastly European Union (EU) and European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) within the context of recognition and legality of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus particularly concerning some ECHR resolutions on immovable properties left behind by both sides on the island after 1974 Turkish Peace Operation.
