Abstract
Seçmenlerin oy verme davranışları 1900'lü yılların başından itibaren araştırılan bir konudur. Bu konuda yapılan araştırmalar çoğunlukla oy verme davranışını etkileyen faktörler üzerine olmuştur. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, seçimlerde seçmenlerin oy verme davranışlarını etkileyen faktörlerle birlikte ikinci parti seçimlerinin nasıl olduğunu araştırmaktadır. Literatürde seçmenlerin ikinci parti tercihlerinin nasıl şekillendiğine yönelik araştırmayla karşılaşılamaması, bu araştırmanın önemini artırmaktadır. Nicel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada anket yöntemi ile veri toplanmıştır. Ankara ilinde yaşayan seçmen kitlesi ile anket çalışması yapılmış, elde edilen veriler istatistiksel analizlere tabi tutulmuştur. Yapılan analizler sonucunda seçmenlerin büyük bir çoğunluğunun yeni parti kurulmasına sıcak bakmadığı, buna karşılık partilerin lider değişikliğine gitmelerini gerekli gördüğü tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca ikinci parti tercihi yapma noktasında seçmenlerin büyük bir çoğunluğunun birinci partilerinin görüşlerine uygun bir başka partiyi ikinci parti olarak gösterdikleri, diğer bir ifadeyle ideolojik yaklaşımlarının parti seçiminde ön planda olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ulaşılan önemli sonuçlardan birisi ise seçmenlerin büyük bir çoğunlukla oy verme davranışlarını bilinçli bir şekilde yaptıkları, istedikleri adayın ve benimsedikleri görüşün seçilebilmesi amacıyla oy verdikleri sonucudur.
Voting behavior of the voters has been an issue that has been investigated since the early 1900s. Research on this subject has mostly been on factors affecting voting behavior. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the voting behavior of the voters in the elections together with the second party elections. Lack of research in the literature on how voters' second party preferences are shaped increases the importance of this study. In this study, in which quantitative research method was used, data were collected by questionnaire method. A survey was conducted with the electorate living in Ankara, and the data obtained were subjected to statistical analysis. As a result of the analysis made, it was determined that the majority of the voters did not lean towards the establishment of a new party, but found it necessary for the parties to change their leaders. In addition, at the point of making a second party preference, it was concluded that the majority of the voters showed another party in line with the views of their first party as the second party, in other words, their ideological approach was at the forefront in party election. One of the important conclusions reached is that the majority of the voters do their voting behavior consciously and they vote in order to choose the candidate they want and the opinion they adopt.
