Abstract

This thesis work provides empirical data collected from industrial environments in Sincan First Organized Industrial Zone and OSTIM in Ankara. In nine different factory channels, path loss and temporal fading measurements at the frequencies 315 MHz, 434 MHz, 870 MHz, 915 MHz and 2400 MHz are presented. Path loss measurements were carried out considering different antenna heights. Furthermore, temporal fading statistics derived from measurements over line of sight and non-line of sight links in some industrial environments are given. The aim of this study is to understand in-factory radio signal propagation according to the experiment results. This study will clarify the efficient usage of wireless devices in different factory environments.
