1909 tarihli Şehzade Ziyaeddin Efendi Köşkü (Sokullu köşkü) ve değişiminin mekansal analizi

Abstract

Geleneksel Türk konut mimarisinde önemli bir yere sahip ahşap kârgir yapılardan ve döneminin son örneklerinden biri olan, yapımına 1909 yılında başlanan Şehzade Ziyaeddin Efendi Köşkü (Sokullu Köşkü) İstanbul'un Kadıköy semtinde yer almaktadır. Şehzade Ziyaeddin Efendi Köşkü yapıldığı günden günümüze kadar değişik kişiler tarafından farklı amaçlarla kullanılmış ve son olarak 2013 yılında Yapı Merkezi tarafından restore edilmiştir. Bu tez çalışması kapsamında İstanbul ve Kadıköy'ün tarihi araştırılmış, köşkte etkisi olan mimari akımlar incelenmiştir. Köşkün mevcut durumu için alan çalışması yapılmış, gözlemler fotoğraflarla belgelenmiş, rölöve çizimleri ve restitüsyon projeleri incelenerek elde edilen bilgiler çalışma kapsamında kullanılmıştır. Ancak yapılan alan çalışması kapsamında bütün mekanlar araştırmacı tarafından fotoğraflanamamıştır. Köşkün mevcut halinin araştırmacı tarafından çekilebilen görselleri, Yapı Merkezi tarafından restorasyon çalışması öncesinde çekilen görselleri ile kapsamlı bir şekilde karşılaştırılmıştır. Dönemin ahşap yapılarından biri olan ve günümüze ulaşmış nadir köşkler arasında bulunan Şehzade Ziyaeddin Efendi Köşkü'nün mimarı kesin olarak bilinmemekle beraber Vedat Tek olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu bağlamda köşkün mimar Vedat Tek ile ilişkisi, mimarın diğer yapıları ve el kitaplarında bulunan çizimlerle birlikte karşılaştırma yapılarak incelenmiştir. Ayrıca köşkün cephe ve mimari özellikleri dönemin diğer yapılarıyla da karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile daha önce hakkında herhangi bir akademik çalışma olmayan Ziyaeddin Efendi Köşkü'nün mevcut durumunun incelenerek özgün mimari tasarımına yönelik değerlendirmeler yapılması ve literatüre kazandırılması hedeflenmektedir.

Şehzade Ziyaeddin Efendi Mansion (Sokullu Mansion), one of the last examples of its period and wooden masonry structures that have an important place in traditional Turkish residential architecture, is located in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul. Şehzade Ziyaeddin Efendi Mansion has been used by different people for different purposes since the day it was built and was lastly restored by Yapı Merkezi in 2013. Within the scope of this thesis, the history of Istanbul and Kadıköy was researched, and the architectural movements that had an impact on the mansion were examined. Fieldwork was carried out for the current state of the mansion, observations were documented with photographs, and the information obtained by examining the survey drawings and restitution projects was used within the scope of the study. However, not all places could be photographed by the researcher within the scope of the field study. The images of the current state of the mansion, which can be taken by the researcher, were extensively compared with the images taken by Yapı Merkezi before the restoration work. The architect of Şehzade Ziyaeddin Efendi Mansion, one of the wooden structures of the period and one of the rare mansions that have survived to the present day, is not known for sure, but it is thought to be Vedat Tek. In this context, the relationship of the mansion with the architect Vedat Tek was examined by comparing it with the other buildings of the architect and the drawings in the handbooks. In addition, the facade and architectural features of the mansion were compared with other structures of the period. With this study, it is aimed to examine the current situation of Ziyaeddin Efendi Mansion, about which there is no academic study before, to make evaluations about its original architectural design and to bring it into the literature.
