Hedonistik Sürdürülebilirlik Bağlamında Bjarke Ingels Konut Yapılarındaki İç Mekân Tasarımlarının Analizi

Abstract

Tez, hedonistik sürdürülebilirlik kavramı çerçevesinde Bjarke Ingels konut yapılarının iç mekân tasarımlarını analiz etmek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Birinci bölümde; çalışmanın kapsamı, amacı ve yöntemi açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde; sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın tanımı, önemi ve küresel ölçekteki çalışmalar ele alınmış ve sürdürülebilir iç mekân tasarımının ögeleri, sürdürülebilirliğin dört bileşeni (çevresel, ekonomik, sosyal, politik ve kültürel) çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Sürdürülebilir iç mekân tasarımında; malzeme kullanımı, iç mekân çevre koşulları ve su verimliliği unsurlarının önemi vurgulanmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde; tüketim ve mimarlık arasındaki ilişkinin açıklanabilmesi için haz, hedonizm felsefesi ve sürdürülebilirlik arasındaki bağ araştırılmıştır. Hedonizm felsefesi, Hintli filozof Çarvaka; Kirene Okulu ve kurucusu Aristippos; Epikürcü Okul ve kurucusu Epikür; faydacılığın ilk savunucularından İngiliz Hukukçu Jeremy Bentham ve Britanyalı sosyolog ve siyaset filozofu Herbert Spencer'ın fikirleri çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde; ilk defa Bjarke Ingels tarafından ortaya koyulan hedonistik sürdürülebilirlik ilkeleri esas alınarak, onun yapılarını inceleyen araştırmacıların değerlendirme ölçütleri ile hedonistik sürdürülebilirlik kapsamında yapılan araştırmaların ölçütleri de analiz edilerek, konuya ilişkin kapsamlı bir mimari ve iç mekân tasarımı analiz içeriği ortaya koyulmuştur. Çalışma alanı, Bjarkle Ingels'in hedonistik sürdürülebilirlik üzerine fikirlerini ortaya koymaya başladığı zaman esas alınarak; 2009-2021 yılları arasında tamamladığı konut yapılarının mimari ve iç mekân tasarımlarındaki hedonistik sürdürülebilirlik analizi ile sınırlandırılmıştır.

The thesis aims to analyze the interior design of Bjarke Ingels residential buildings within the framework of hedonistic sustainability. In the first chapter; the scope, purpose and methodology of the study are explained. In the second chapter; the definition, importance and global studies on sustainable development are discussed and the elements of sustainable interior design are analyzed within the framework of the four components of sustainability (environmental, economic, social, political and cultural). The importance of material use, indoor environmental conditions and water efficiency in sustainable interior design is emphasized. In the third chapter; in order to explain the relationship between consumption and architecture, the connection between pleasure, philosopy of hedonism and sustainability has been investigated. The philosophy of hedonism is discussed within the framework of the ideas of the Indian philosopher Charvaka; the Cyrenaic School and its founder Aristippos; the Epicurean School and its founder Epicurus; the British jurist Jeremy Bentham, one of the first advocates of utilitarianism; and the British sociologist and political philosopher Herbert Spencer. In the fourth chapter; based on the principles of hedonistic sustainability first put forward by Bjarke Ingels, the evaluation criteria of the researchers examining his buildings and the criteria of the researches conducted within the scope of hedonistic sustainability are also analyzed, and a comprehensive architectural and interior design analysis content on the subject is put forward. The field of study based on when Bjarke Ingels started to present his ideas on hedonistic sustainability; It is limited to the hedonistic sustainability analysis of the architectural and interior design of Bjarke Ingels' residential buildings completed between 2009-2021.
