Akdeniz için Birlik Projesi ve Ortadoğu

Abstract

Bu tezde 18. yüzyıldan bu yana önemini koruyan Akdeniz bağlamında Ortadoğu coğrafyasındaki menfaat çakışmaları ve çatışmaları ele alınmıştır.Küresel güç olan Amerika Birleşik Devletleri, kıtasal güç olan Fransa, İngiltere, Almanya ve Çin'in jeostrateji ve jeoekonomi bağlamında çatışma bölgesi olan Akdeniz, Ortadoğu'nun ve özellikle de İsrail'in nefes borularından birisini teşkil etmektedir. Bu anlamda Akdeniz jeostratejisi sadece Ortadoğu için değil, bütün dünya için önem arz etmektedir.Söz konusu çalışmada Ortadoğu bölgesinde İsrail'i yalnız bırakmamak ve Türkiye ile Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti'ni Avrupa Birliği'nden uzaklaştırmak için tasarlanmış ?Club Med? projesi denilen Fransa Cumhurbaşkanı Nicholas Sarkozy'nin ?Akdeniz İçin Birlik Projesi? incelenmiştir.

The conflicts and intersections of interests in the Middle East from the perspective of Mediterranean which still keep its significance from the 18th century onwards are discussed in my thesis.Mediterranean, as a conflict area in the light of geostrategical and geoeconomical aspects amongst global power the USA, continental powers France, the United Kingdom, Germany and China, constitues one of the vital importance for the Middle East particulary Israel. With this regard Mediterranean strategy has a significant role not only for Middle East but also for the rest of the world.In this study ?Union For The Mediterranean Project? which is also called as ?Club Med? Project brougt up by French President Nicholas Sarkozy, is designed to prevent isolation of Israel in Middle East and reproachment of Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to European Union are scrutinized.
