Arap Baharı ve Bahreyn

Abstract

Arap Baharı ismi ile anılan ve Tunus'ta başlayıp Mısır, Libya, Yemen, Bahreyn ve Suriye'yi etkileyen halk ayaklanmaları Arap coğrafyasında köklü değişimlere yol açmıştır. Arap Baharı olayları bazen ülkelerin iç dinamikleri ile bazen de uluslararası baskının veya müdahalenin tasarrufu ile rejim, yönetim, yönetici değişikliklerine yol açmıştır. Süreç Bahreyn'de de yankı bulmuş ve halk sokağa dökülmüştür. Fakat sonuçlandığında herhangi bir değişim getirmemiştir. Bu çalışmada Arap Baharı süreci, Arap Baharının Bahreyn'deki yansımaları ve diğer ülkelerin olaylara müdahale süreç ve yöntemleri üzerinde durularak Arap Baharının Bahreyn'de neden başarılı olamadığı irdelenmiştir.

Civil uprisings referred to as the Arab Spring began in Tunusia and strongly spread to Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Bahrain and Syria led to fundemental changes in the Arab League. Events of the Arab Spring caused changes in regime, government and/or administration sometimes by the internal dynamics of the respective countries, and sometimes by international pressure or intervention. Although the process of unfolding events found its echo in Bahrain as well as people took to the streets for protests and demonstrations, it proved unfruitful yielding no positive change. This study aims to examine the reasons of the failure of the Arab Spring in Bahrain elaborating the process of the Arab Spring; its echoes and impacts in Bahrain, and the process and method of intervention by other countries.
