    According to the requirements of the software sector, the curriculum of the department aims at graduating researchers and software experts who can work in any phase of large-scale software development processes. Big Data and Cloud Information Laboratories, MobiLab, Simlab and software training laboratories of our university are equipped with different hardware components and software tools which enable the students to use state-of-the-art software technologies and resources.

    Department of Modeling and Design of Engineering Systems
    This is an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary program, uniquely designed to promote front edge technology at international level. The program is open to both Turkish and international students who are seeking for a well-established research environment with facilities on some specific areas towards advanced research studies. Intimate collaborations are established with research institutions and industry, and further innovative work is promoted. The program is developed as a research based interdisciplinary advanced study with interdisciplinary courses and an advanced research study leading to a Ph. D. thesis.

    Architecture Integrated PhD Program, which was initiated in the year 2012 at the Graduate School of Natural & Applied Sciences, runs graduate education and research studies leading to PhD degree for the students bearing bachelor and master degrees. The offical educational language of the Program is Turkish. The Program is available for applications by graduates from different disciplines (architecture; urban design; city and regional planning; industrial design; interior design; landscape design) who wish to be researcher or academician in any of the areas of specialization in architecture specified by IMP. Architecture Master’s Programs (Thesis-Oriented & Project-Oriented) were started in the year 2018. The official educational languages of these Programs are Turkish and English. These programs are available for applications by canditates who have undergraduate degrees in architecture.

    Metalurji ve Malzeme Mühendisliğinin alanı çok geniştir ve temel olarak metaller, seramikler, polimerler ve bu üç malzemenin birlikte oluşturdukları kompozit malzemelerin üretimlerini, şekillendirilmelerini, işlemlerini, karakterizasyonlarını ve kullanımlarındaki davranışlarını kapsar. Yüksek Lisans programımızda amacımız, öğrencilerimizin bu konulardan bir veya birkaçında kapsamlı ve derin bir kuramsal ve uygulamalı bilgi birikimine sahip olmaları ve bilgiye ulaşma, ulaşılan bilgileri değerlendirme, deney tasarlama, deney sonuçlarını analiz etme ve raporlama yeteneklerini kazanmalarıdır. Web sayfamızda yer alan bilgilerden de görülebileceği gibi modern cihaz ve ekipmanla donatılmış güçlü laboratuvar altyapımız çok farklı konularda araştırma yapılmasını olanaklı kılmaktadır. Yüksek Lisans müfredatımızda Malzemelerin İleri Termodinamiği, Malzeme Mühendisliğinde Matematiksel Yöntemler ve Malzeme-Süreç Seçimi ve Tasarım Problemleri isimli üç zorunlu ders yer almaktadır. Tezli Yüksek Lisans programımız bu zorunlu derslerin yanında zorunlu olan Seminer, Yüksek Lisans Tezi ve dört teknik seçmeli dersten, Tezsiz Yüksek Lisans programımız ise zorunlu olan Bitirme Projesi ve 7 teknik seçmeli dersten oluşmaktadır. Teknik seçmeli dersler tez danışmanının onayı dâhilinde çok sayıdaki teknik seçmeli ders arasından seçilmektedir. Programımıza Metalurji ve Malzeme Mühendisliği mezunlarının yanısıra diğer Mühendislik Bölümleri ile Fizik, Kimya vb. bölümlerin mezunları da kabul edilebilmektedir. Bu bölümlerden mezun olan adayların, her birinin akademik ve profesyonel birikimlerine göre belirlenecek bir bilimsel hazırlık programını tamamlamaları gerekmektedir.

    Department of Mechatronics Engineering
    Our purpose in the program is to educate our students for contributing to universal knowledge by doing research on contemporary mechatronics engineering problems and provide them with design, production and publication skills. To reach this goal our post graduate students are offered courses in various areas of mechatronics engineering, encouraged to do research to develop their expertise and their creative side, as well as develop analysis and design skills.

    Research subjects based on Chemical Engineering origin covers applied and computational studies or both. Research studies under this origin focus mainly on the areas; clean energy production, catalytic combustion artificial neural networks, computational chemistry, electrochemistry, fuel cells and renewable energy. Chemistry-based group works on the areas such as biotechnology nanotechnology fuel cells and solar energy, drug design and development, polymer chemistry, dye and stain chemistry. In addition, the studies conducted in the graduate program also focuses on engineering applications and calculations of these fields.

    The Mechanical Engineering Doctoral Program has started in 2016-2017 academic year. We have highly qualified teaching and research faculty members and strong research infrastructure in the department for graduate work. Research areas include computational and experimental research in fluid and solid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, advanced manufacturing, composites and other advanced materials. Our fundamental mission is to train engineers who are able to work with advanced technology, create innovative approaches and authentic designs, apply research methods effectively, conduct research and develop high quality methods and products in space, aviation, defense, medical and automotive industries, with a contemporary education and research infrastructure.
