Bu çalışma; George Orwell'in Hayvan Çiftliği, ve William Golding'in Sineklerin Tanrısı, eselerindeki hegemony gücünü incelemektedir. İki romanda da karakterler güçsüz olanları öyle bir bastırıyor ki bastırılan grubun rıza gösterdiğine tanıklık ediyoruz. It comes from the Ancient Greek word eugemonia, which meant to demonstrate leadership authority in a territory. This study examines uses of hegemonic power in Animal Farm by George Orwell, and Lord of the Flies by William Golding. In both of the novels, we witness characters oppressing weaker ones in such a way that the oppressed group consents. Hegemony is frequently used informally as a shorthand for oppressive systems and practises.
