Digitalization and digital transformation have increased the importance of the concept of leadership in the business world. Digitalization is effective on communication and coordination and provides success in competition. Leaders should keep their leadership styles and digital knowledge up to date for corporate success. Among the characteristics that should be presented by a leader are effective communication, problem deconstruction skills, transfer of authority, and empathy. Although the concept of leadership is gender decoupled, differences arise between the distribution of male and female managers in the business world. Gender biases and social stereotypes still limit the number of women in senior leadership positions. As a solution to this situation, a gender quota is being implemented in some countries.
