The corresponding polymers have very well-defined and reversible redox processes in both organic and aqueous solutions. Furthermore, they exhibit multielectrochromic behavior: yellow in the neutral state, green and blue in the intermediate state and violet in the oxidized state. The polymer products are soluble in organic solvents and all of them are fluorescent. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd.
