Enhancing spatial effectiveness in these structures is a critical design consideration for project feasibility. Currently, there has been no comprehensive study on the space efficiency of such towers. This article analyzed 79 cases all over the world to deepen the knowledge of design features shaping spatial efficiency. The critical findings are as follows: (1) the most common architectural preferences include residential function, a centrally located service core, and prismatic arrangements; (2) the preferred structural material is composite, while a shear walled frame system is the favored structural system; (3) the average spatial efficiency and percentage of core area to GFA were recorded at 84% and 10%, ranging from the lowest values of 70% and 4% to the highest values of 95% and 21%, respectively; and (4) no significant differences were detected in the effect of core design approaches on spatial effectiveness if appropriately planned, with similar inferences drawn concerning form and the structural material used. This article will assist in developing design directions for different interested parties, including architectural designers taking part in the advancement of high-rise timber towers.Review Citation - WoS: 59Citation - Scopus: 65Application of Minimum Quantity Lubrication Techniques in Machining Process of Titanium Alloy for Sustainability: a Review(Springer London Ltd, 2019) Osman, Khaled Ali; Unver, Hakki Ozgur; Seker, UlviRecently, the manufacturing sector is increasingly keen to apply sustainability at all levels of sustainability from system to products and processes. At the processes level, cutting fluids (CFs) are among the most unsustainable materials and need to be addressed properly in accordance with three main and decisive aspects, also known as the triple bottom line: ecology, society, and economics. Minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) is a promising technique that minimizes the use of CFs, thus improving sustainability. This paper presents a review of the literature available on the use of the MQL technique during different machining processes involving titanium alloys (Ti-6Al-4V). To carry out the study, four search engines were used to focus on the most cited articles published over a span of 17years from 2000 to 2016. The performance and drawbacks are compiled for each eco-friendly technique: dry, MQL, and cryogenics with combinations of MQL and cryogenics, critically considering machining parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate, and output measures, namely surface roughness, tool life, and cutting temperature. After drawing conclusions from critical evaluation of research body, future research avenues in the field are proposed for the academics and industry.Review Moral Movements and Foreign Policy(San Diego State Univ, 2011) Ozen, Hayriye[No Abstract Available]Review Citation - WoS: 75Citation - Scopus: 120Hybrid Blockchain Platforms for the Internet of Things (iot): a Systematic Literature Review(Mdpi, 2022) Alkhateeb, Ahmed; Catal, Cagatay; Kar, Gorkem; Mishra, AlokIn recent years, research into blockchain technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) has grown rapidly due to an increase in media coverage. Many different blockchain applications and platforms have been developed for different purposes, such as food safety monitoring, cryptocurrency exchange, and secure medical data sharing. However, blockchain platforms cannot store all the generated data. Therefore, they are supported with data warehouses, which in turn is called a hybrid blockchain platform. While several systems have been developed based on this idea, a current state-of-the-art systematic overview on the use of hybrid blockchain platforms is lacking. Therefore, a systematic literature review (SLR) study has been carried out by us to investigate the motivations for adopting them, the domains at which they were used, the adopted technologies that made this integration effective, and, finally, the challenges and possible solutions. This study shows that security, transparency, and efficiency are the top three motivations for adopting these platforms. The energy, agriculture, health, construction, manufacturing, and supply chain domains are the top domains. The most adopted technologies are cloud computing, fog computing, telecommunications, and edge computing. While there are several benefits of using hybrid blockchains, there are also several challenges reported in this study.Review Citation - WoS: 6Citation - Scopus: 9Monkeypox: a Comprehensive Review of Virology, Epidemiology, Transmission, Diagnosis, Prevention, Treatment, and Artificial Intelligence Applications(Shaheed Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and Health Services, 2024) Rahmani,E.; Bayat,Z.; Farrokhi,M.; Karimian,S.; Zahedpasha,R.; Sabzehie,H.; Farrokhi,M.Monkeypox (Mpox), an uncommon zoonotic Orthopoxvirus, is commonly manifested by blisters on the skin and has a mortality rate of approximately 0-10%. Approximately two decades after the cessation of global smallpox vaccination, the number of confirmed cases of Mpox has been growing, making it the most common Orthopoxvirus infection. Therefore, in this narrative review, we aimed to shed light on recent advancements in the pathophysiology, transmission routes, epidemiology, manifestations, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of Mpox, as well as the application of artificial intelligence (AI) methods for predicting this disease. The clinical manifestations of Mpox, including the onset of symptoms and dermatologic characteristics, are similar to those of the infamous smallpox, but Mpox is clinically milder. Notably, a key difference between smallpox and Mpox is the high prevalence of lymphadenopathy. Human-to-human, animal-to-human, and animal-to-animal transmission are the three main pathways of Mpox spread that must be considered for effective prevention, particularly during outbreaks. PCR testing, as the preferred method for diagnosing Mpox infection, can enhance early detection of new cases and thereby improve infection control measures. JYNNEOS and ACAM2000 are among the vaccines most commonly recommended for the prevention of Mpox. Brincidofovir, Cidofovir, and Tecovirimat are the primary treatments for Mpox cases. Similar to other viral infections, the best approach to managing Mpox is prevention. This can, in part, be achieved through measures such as reducing contact with individuals displaying symptoms, maintaining personal safety, and adhering to practices commonly used to prevent sexually transmitted infections. © This open-access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial 3.0 License (CC BY-NC 3.0).Review Citation - WoS: 22Citation - Scopus: 39Cybersecurity Deep: Approaches, Attacks Dataset, and Comparative Study(Taylor & Francis inc, 2022) Barik, Kousik; Misra, Sanjay; Konar, Karabi; Fernandez-Sanz, Luis; Murat, Koyuncu; Koyuncu, MuratCyber attacks are increasing rapidly due to advanced digital technologies used by hackers. In addition, cybercriminals are conducting cyber attacks, making cyber security a rapidly growing field. Although machine learning techniques worked well in solving large-scale cybersecurity problems, an emerging concept of deep learning (DL) that caught on during this period caused information security specialists to improvise the result. The deep learning techniques analyzed in this study are convolution neural networks, recurrent neural networks, and deep neural networks in the context of cybersecurity.A framework is proposed, and a real-time laboratory setup is performed to capture network packets and examine this captured data using various DL techniques. A comparable interpretation is presented under the DL techniques with essential parameters, particularly accuracy, false alarm rate, precision, and detection rate. The DL techniques experimental output projects improvise the performance of various real-time cybersecurity applications on a real-time dataset. CNN model provides the highest accuracy of 98.64% with a precision of 98% with binary class. The RNN model offers the second-highest accuracy of 97.75%. CNN model provides the highest accuracy of 98.42 with multiclass class. The study shows that DL techniques can be effectively used in cybersecurity applications. Future research areas are being elaborated, including the potential research topics to improve several DL methodologies for cybersecurity applications.Review Citation - WoS: 5Citation - Scopus: 5A Survey of Results on the Limit q-bernstein Operator(Hindawi Ltd, 2013) Ostrovska, SofiyaThe limit q-Bernstein operator B-q emerges naturally as a modification of the Szasz-Mirakyan operator related to the Euler distribution, which is used in the q-boson theory to describe the energy distribution in a q-analogue of the coherent state. At the same time, this operator bears a significant role in the approximation theory as an exemplary model for the study of the convergence of the q-operators. Over the past years, the limit q-Bernstein operator has been studied widely from different perspectives. It has been shown that. is a positive shape-preserving linear operator on C[0, 1] with parallel to B-q parallel to = 1. Its approximation properties, probabilistic interpretation, the behavior of iterates, and the impact on the smoothness of a function have already been examined. In this paper, we present a review of the results on the limit q-Bernstein operator related to the approximation theory. A complete bibliography is supplied.Review Citation - WoS: 228Citation - Scopus: 313Analysing Global Food Waste Problem: Pinpointing the Facts and Estimating the Energy Content(de Gruyter Open Ltd, 2013) Melikoglu, Mehmet; Lin, Carol Sze Ki; Webb, ColinFood waste is a global problem. Each year food worth billions of dollars is wasted by the developed economies of the world. When food is wasted, the problem does not end at that point. More than 95% of the food waste ends at landfill sites, where converted into methane, carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses by anaerobic digestion. The impact of food waste to climate change is catastrophic. Food waste problem tends to increase in next 25 years due to economic and population growth mainly in Asian countries. In addition, when food wastes buried at landfill sites their energy content is lost. Although food waste is a huge problem, its global size and extent has recently become a hot topic in the academic community. This paper summarises the size of the global food waste problem together with the estimation of the amount of energy lost when food wastes dumped at landfill sites. Calculations in this study also revealed that energy lost at landfill sites equals to 43% of the delivered energy used for the preparation of foods in the US, 37% of the hydroelectric power generation of Japan, and more than 100% of the current annual renewable energy demand of UK industries.Review Citation - WoS: 64Citation - Scopus: 75Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Surface Treatment of Polymers and Influence on Cell Cultivation(Mdpi, 2021) Sasmazel, Hilal Turkoglu; Alazzawi, Marwa; Alsahib, Nabeel Kadim AbidAtmospheric plasma treatment is an effective and economical surface treatment technique. The main advantage of this technique is that the bulk properties of the material remain unchanged while the surface properties and biocompatibility are enhanced. Polymers are used in many biomedical applications; such as implants, because of their variable bulk properties. On the other hand, their surface properties are inadequate which demands certain surface treatments including atmospheric pressure plasma treatment. In biomedical applications, surface treatment is important to promote good cell adhesion, proliferation, and growth. This article aim is to give an overview of different atmospheric pressure plasma treatments of polymer surface, and their influence on cell-material interaction with different cell lines.Review the Oxford Handbook of Sports Economics: economics Through Sports, Vol 2(Sage Publications inc, 2014) Temel, Bulent[No Abstract Available]
