Fixed Points Results for Α -Admissible Mapping of Integral Type on Generalized Metric Spaces
    (Hindawi Publishing Corporation, 2015) Karapinar,E.
We introduce generalized (α,ψ)-contractive mappings of integral type in the context of generalized metric spaces. The results of this paper generalize and improve several results on the topic in literature. © 2015 Erdal Karapinar.

The Oscillation Between Dramatic and Postdramatic Theatre: Mark Ravenhill's shopping and F***ing
(Gunter Narr verlag, 2017) Izmir, Sibel
Drama and theatre, which are distinctive forms of art, stand among those concepts which are often used interchangeably regardless of their uniqueness. In order to contextualize and reassess this relationship between drama and theatre, Hans-Thies Lehmann, a German scholar and theoretician, has provided a useful formulation in his ground-breaking study Postdramatic Theatre. He claims that theatre has been subordinated by drama particularly in western cultures until the 1960s. This has naturally resulted in a domineering position of the dramatic text and the playwright in the final production. Lehmann argues that since the 1960s western theatre has demonstrated an interest in creating theatrical productions which display an equal treatment of the playtext, playwright, director, performers, costumes, decor, etc. in order to subvert the rooted hierarchal order. In his book, he does not neglect to mention that British "in-yer-face" dramatists are also among those who have influenced the emergence of German-based productions with their shock tactics to capture the audience. In such productions, the events happening on the stage make the audience feel as if they are attacked. The British playwright, Mark Raven hill, is one of such in-yer-face dramatists. This study will offer an exploration of Ravenhill's Shopping and F***ing in the light of Lehmann's theory of post dramatic theatre. The study puts forward that the play under examination goes beyond the confines of in-yer-face sensibility and exhibits a tension between dramatic and postdramatic theatre.

Suzuki-Edelstein Type Contractions Via Auxiliary Functions
(Hindawi Ltd, 2013) Salimi, Peyman; Karapinar, Erdal
We prove the existence and uniqueness of a fixed point of certain type mapping, extension of Suzuki-Edelstein mapping, in a partially ordered complete metric space. Our results extend, improve, and generalize the existence results on the topic in the literature. We state some examples to illustrate our results.

Examining the Effects of Blogger Type (influencers Vs. Celebrities) and Post Format in Instagram Marketing
    (IGI Global, 2020) Özgen,P.; Mahmoudian,A.B.
In the era where credibility of advertisements is decreasing and people are spending more time in social media compared to traditional channels, it is no surprise that marketing professionals employ social media as a new channel for communication. In this new media for communication, the conventional advertising techniques are also coupled with alternating methods such as product placements. In the light of these relatively new applications, the purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of marketing communications in social media under different message sources (celebrities vs. influencers) and with different message presentations. In order to serve that purpose, a 2X2 between subjects experiment is modelled with 399 respondents. The results show that a product is better advertised by an influencer rather than a celebrity and type of the blog post had no significant impact on the purchase intention. © 2021, IGI Global.

Changing Our Educational Institutions: Transition From Traditional To E-Learning Programs
    (Ieee, 2004) Yazici, A; Karakaya, Z; Dalgarno, B; Altas, I
In this. paper we examine basic elements of e-Learning, the features of the e-Learning model under implementation at Atilim University and the expected impact of the model on the organization of the institution. The paper also draws on examples at other institutions in discussing the issues that. form the dynamics of organizational change within Universities in the 21(st) century.

Remarks on Some Recent Fixed Point Results on Quaternion-Valued Metric Spaces
(Hindawi Ltd, 2014) Agarwal, Ravi P.; Alsulami, Hamed H.; Karapinar, Erdal; Khojasteh, Farshid
Very recently, Ahmed et al. introduced the notion of quaternion-valued metric as a generalization of metric and proved a common fixed point theorem in the context of quaternion-valued metric space. In this paper, we will show that the quaternion-valued metric spaces are subspaces of cone metric spaces. Consequently, the fixed point results in such spaces can be derived as a consequence of the corresponding existing fixed point result in the setting cone metric spaces.

Using Learning Style Theory in Remote Laboratory Applications
    (IEEE, 2007) Tokdemir,G.; Cagiltay,N.E.
Studies have shown that, while learning different concepts, people sometimes use different approaches. These different approaches define individual learning styles. Understanding learning style differences is thus an important step in improving performance of the individuals and educational institutions. In this study, a learning style assessment tool was used to examine the relationship between students' learning styles and their performance in engineering education programs of Atilim University. 329 students (55 female) participated in this study. At their first year in the program, students' learning styles are measured by a learning style assessment tool developed by David Kolb. The results show that, at the Atilim University's engineering education program, most of the students are having assimilator type of learning style (45%). Convergers (27%) and divergers (22%) follow the assimilators. The number of accommodators is very limited (5%). This information can be used to create adaptive teaching environments in distance education courses. © 2007 IEEE.
