Sakin Şehir Uygulamasının Jericho Şehrine Uyarlanabilirliği: Filistin Jericho Şehri Örneğinde Betimleyici Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Cittaslow İtalya'daki küçük bir yerleşim merkezinde ortaya çıkan bir düşüncedir ve bu düşüncenin sahibi insanların daha iyi bir hayat sürmesi gerektiğine inanan söz konusu yerleşim merkezinin belediye başkanıdır. Bu düşünce geleneksel mesleklere ve el sanatlarına sahip çıkan ve organik ve mevsimsel tarım yapmak suretiyle insanların sağlıklı yaşama hakkına saygı gösteren geleneksel yaşam tarzını yeniden canlandırmak için küçük yerleşim birimlerinde ortaya çıkan bir hareket olarak kendini göstermektedir. Bu tez Cittaslow hareketine ilişkin kriterlerin, Filistin'in Eriha şehrinde uygulanma ihtimalini incelemeyi ve ayrıca Cittaslow fikrini hayata geçirmek için turizm sektörünün sahip olduğu imkan ve kapasiteyi ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu tez Cittaslow kavramını uygulamak için gerekli güç ve kapasiteye sahip Eriha gibi bir şehirde yaşayan insanlar için çok yararlı olan Cittaslow kavramı ve içeriğinin uygulanması konusunda eksiksiz bir açıklama yapmak suretiyle bilimsel alana katkı sağlamaktadır. Ayrıca bu çalışma Cittaslow kavramını uygulamak için Eriha şehrinde bulunan resmi kurum ve kuruluşlar açısından da güvenilir bir kaynaktır. Toplanan bilgiler görüşme ve anket araçlarının her ikisinin de kullanılmasıyla analiz edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın en önemli sonuçları şunlardı: Turizm Yasası sıkı bir biçimde uygulanmamaktadır ve bu yasa Filistin'de Ürdün döneminden kalmadır. Eriha şehri Cittaslow kavramını hayata geçirme ve onu yaşamın her alanına uygulama güç ve yeteneğine sahiptir. Bunlara ilaveten Eriha şehri pek çok yönden Cittaslow yaklaşımına uygundur. Bu sonuçlara dayanarak araştırmacı Filistin Turizm Yasasının geliştirilmesinin ve buna göre uygulanmasının gerekli olduğu ve buna ilaveten turizm alanında faaliyet gösteren özel ve kamu sektörleri arasında ve uluslararası kurum ve turizmin tarafları arasında ortaklıklar kurulmasının amaçlanması önerisinde bulunmaktadır.This thesis aimed to study the possibility of applying the Cittaslow movement criteria, in Jericho city in Palestine. In addition to discover, the capabilities of the tourism sector to apply the idea of Cittaslow. There was an obstacle to find the literature related to Cittaslow in Jericho, and this is strength for this study to be the first one done in this subject in Jericho city, this thesis considering the contextual and cultural differences of Jericho city. The thesis gives a full image of the applying of Cittaslow concept and contents. In addition, this study is a trustful resource for the official bodies in Jericho city to apply the concept of Cittaslow. Cittaslow is an idea appeared in Italy in a small town, that idea has been developed to be a movement works in the village in order to: restore the traditional life with traditional professions and handicrafts. Respect people healthy life by producing an organic and season agriculture. Whereas, the study required another tools for achieving its objectives, which is the quantitative tool by developing a questionnaire for the people who work in the tourism sector. A poll survey purposed to discover the opinion of the community working in the tourism sector by analyzing the gathered information using the both tools: Interview, and Questionnaire. The most important results conducted from this study were that, the tourism law is not applied in a strict way, and it is working from the Jordanian era in Palestine. Jericho city has the capability to apply the Cittaslow concept and practice on the aspects of life. In addition, Jericho city matches many aspects in with the Cittaslow approach. One of the most important results of this study was that the Israeli occupation affects negatively the development of many aspects of life in Jericho city in particular and other cities in the WEST BANK in general. Based on those results, the researcher has recommended that there is a necessity for developing the Palestinian tourism law and be applied. In addition to developing, the partnerships between tourism private and public sectors and between the tourism parties with the international bodies intend in the tourism sector.
