URAP Türkiye Sıralamasında Bilimsel Yayın Sayısını Etkileyen Faktörler

Abstract

This study examines the factors affecting international scientific publication performance in Türkiye using panel data analysis method. Using data from 18 universities ranked in the 2024-2025 University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) for the period 2011-2023, the effects of R&D expenditures, economic growth, number of doctoral students, number of academicians, and publication incentives on articles published in different quality categories of journals (first-second quartile and third-fourth quartile) were analyzed. The results show that R&D expenditures have the strongest effect in all categories, and the number of doctoral students and academicians also significantly increase publication performance. Publication incentives were found to have a positive effect on third-fourth quartile journals, but a negative effect on first-second quartile journals.
